Crap journalism. Remind us all of how well Arsenal have done in developing new young talent. Oxford would be well advised to steer well clear or wind up in the youth graveyard. Could do worse than look at Jenkinson's career and how he has been treated.

In this case, Ron, I'd say that 1920's is wrong, because it suggests belonging to 1920. The intended meaning is the time between 1920 and 1929, therefore that inverted comma in misplaced. Just for clarity, you understand, no pedantry intended.

I didn't really want to have a second 'sic' as I thought it might come across as too anal, but I KNEW that if I let "its" pass, then YOU would be all over it.

As for "1920's", with or without apostrophe is acceptable.

But thanks for the diversion.

Read about this from a few sources, what makes me laugh is the fact they all seem to think its a 3 horse race for the lad, either Manchester club or Arsenal, not one mention that he may well stay at West Ham.

Sure our owners and Bilic will be pulling out all the stops to make that happen if he that good a prospect, but reading the papers you would never guess that could happen.

Some of these jounos are so Arrogant, deluded and obsessed with the so called "Big clubs" its a joke, fuck off.

when i saw this thread it made me think of Hugh, he was adamant that the network knew there was agreement between the clubs that holds true to this day that Arsenal dont sign West Ham players.

So this is obviously made up bollocks

Were is Hughie when you need him?

"Arsenal don't by(sic) our players. Its(sic) a masonic agreement from the 1920's tied up with the Carrick deal."

I'd forgotten about that.

Hugh needs to be released back onto WHO so that he can give his thoughts on this nonsense.

I believe anyone can be a cabbie. As for the other part, the appropriate choice of patois, 'spec level and the lowness of trouser-sling as you strut about the 'hood all have a big impact.

Arsenal did not not pay badly against is. They were just not prepared and we overwhelmed them. They've certainly looked worse against lesser teams.

I'd say they can have Oxford in a straight swap for oxlaide

"Oxford reminds me of young Fordstar"

Don't want to touch on a delicate subject but is being a Black Cabbie really open to person like Oxford?

I agree totally with Rodfarts on this.

The worry is that the Gooners can rightly claim that as eight choice with them he has more chance of an England call up than 4th choice with us.
To be honest if that is what he wants then fuck him

Noble is neither clever nor technically gifted.

Leicester have torn plenty of far more experienced players a new one this season.

I thought that game Arsenal played against us was the worst I have seen them all season.

And Oxford didn't play very well the next chance he got did he? In fact I think he got torn a new one.

Fordstar :

"Most of the best players in the world are not athletically gifted but they are very very clever and technical players."

You mean like Noble right .

'and United want him' why would we want him when he is already our player.

"ThAt was Arsenals worst performance of the season. "

Don't watch enough of Arsenal to know personally
