The EU’s insistence for an unlimited backstop is precisely because it does not want a border in Northern Ireland and its interested member the Republic definitely does not want one either.

All parties other than the section of the Tory party in thrall to the Nutjob ERG insist on this solution exactly because they want a trade deal with the UK. They do so simply because a trade deal is in the clear interest of all parties.

This is why demanding something other than backstop on the threat of no deal without specifying what is being demanded is so utterly preposterous that Boris Johnson has lost six (SIX) parliamentary votes and, having lost his parliamentary majority, this utter buffoon has actually prorogued parliament.

Seriously, you could not write this shit if you were a novelist. The fact you lot still insist the EU is somehow being nasty to the UK really does indicate we are dealing with mental people here. No deal beckons - the consensus in the EU is resigned to it.

The answer is, of course, so it could hold N.Ireland literally as a hostage and demand a rotten deal for us in exchange for its return.

Indeed. Everything is contrived. That's what humans do. They contrive things.

The Irish border issue, if it is an issue, is only an issue if, not only is there no withdrawal agreement, but if the EU declines to enter into talks on a trade deal.

Why then, would the EU, if it was going to uphold the agreement and enter immediate trade negotiations, insist on an unlimited backstop it didn't need?

The whole issue is contrived.

So turns out that random member of the public with a sick relative who had a pop at Bozza was actually a career Labour activist wearing a mic who's Twitter bio describes himself wanting a "socialist Europe".

Lolololol. As bad as each other. Probably lying about his situation as well.

So Boris is not fit to be PM if he says he is ready to accept something as undesirable as no deal while hardly doing anything other than talk bullshit to sort a deal out.

Re: EU Referendum 23rd June 2016 declares Cameron
Boris isn’t campaigning on no deal, he’s rightly said if we can’t sort out a deal in advance we’ll just leave without one.

Maggie and Jezza supporting the same idea, who would have thought that?

I suppose we have the Brexit battle grounds for the next election:

BoJo - No deal
Jezza - SM/CU
LibDem - Remain

Interesting!

You call O’Brian names but have described JRM as a “charming gentleman”.

This tells anyone normal that you are off your trolly in a very sad way, Batz.

I was referring to the condescending champagne socialist James O'Brien.
I never said NOBODY had mentioned the Irish border being a problem until months after the referendum.
