EU Referendum 23rd June 2016 declares Cameron

Britain will vote on whether to remain in the EU on Thursday 23 June, Prime Minister David Cameron has said.
The prime minister made his historic announcement in Downing Street after briefing the cabinet.
He said he would be campaigning to remain in a reformed EU - and described the vote as one of the biggest decisions "in our lifetimes".

Incidentally, profitability and competitiveness are not mutually exclusive. It's perfectly possible that a company might create such increased demand through lower prices that it would more than offset the lower profit per unit. Companies do it all the time.

If you want to get technical, a lower exchange rate means the UK's competitiveness is unaffected by imported and subsequently re-exported

If you bothered to read my post surface, I wasn't talking about imported components, but UK sourced components, for a manufacturer who then exports.

And I was pointing out that in such situations, a falling sterling value, does not reduce UK competitiveness. In fact, it increases it
