I admit I’m bothered about this because I am a Brit living in Poland. It’s a bit like having a syphilitic uncle in the family.

Pickle, why are you so bothered about this.

Don't you live in Poland?

she's saying she wants more fudge around NI to make it palatable for the Tories.

FoM is a given but it'll be spun as something else.

"As I told EU leaders, neither side should demand the unacceptable of the other. We cannot accept anything that threatens the integrity of our union, just as they cannot accept anything that threatens the integrity of theirs. We cannot accept anything that does not respect the result of the referendum, just as they cannot accept anything that is not in the interest of their citizens."

So she is really saying there is no deal right?
Unless the EU back down on the freedom of labour rules there really is no deal.

Then again, she is known for blatantly saying one thing and then doing another so who knows...

Then I suggest you Tory pencilheads make haste to those voters.

17.5 million voters of 45 million eligible voters are told their vote does not count. That's 40% of voters. That kind of decision will have far more fatal consequences than no deal Brexit ever could.

Nothing to negotiate about really - she’s getting what she claims she wants, which is exit from the EU and enough respect she deserves in the form of dinner and cake for pudding.

“The EU must treat the U.K. with respect”

What, by presenting a counter proposal to Chequers, the very same that 80 of her own MPs have been busy trashing ever since it hit the news?

Good grief, the woman needs stronger meds.

I see that twat Lammy is calling for those who turned 18 after the 2016 referendum to vote now ... we’ll i didn’t vote in 1975 .. can I vote now ?

Also on the Irish thing ... if we find ourselves having a further vote, how about showing the 1949 arrangement whereby Irish citizens can vote in our Elections and have complete freedom of movement even without a passport .. time for real hardball !

Weirdly enough this episode may give her the goodwill to see through the withdrawal agreement. Tories like nothing more than "giving it to Fritz" and the party faithful have seen just that. She probably now has more cover to push through some offers to the EU (she did twice in that speech - on EU citizens post Brexit rights and on regulatory divergence between NI and roUK).

I just find her very staged and fake Jaan. Theresa, wear this chain necklace and leopard print shoes, it'll make you look less of a pushover. Theresa, say the last bit of your speech really sternly, then spin around and strutt off. That'll show them you mean business. Dance with the African children Theresa, they'll think you're not socially awkward.

Let's face it, when you look back at previous PM's, she stands out for all the wrong reasons.
