I'm saying that if you want to comment on the impact of immigration of the German labour market, real wages and purchasing power, you can hardly expect anyone to take you seriously unless you start by addressing the per capita GDP picture

Does all these foreign workers sending money home every week/month (instead of spending it in the UK) actually benefit the economy, too?

There's a very good article in Unherd written by Jon Cruddas concerning the Labour Party abandoning the notion of real work and the social impact etc,

It all upholds the axiom, which you can google at your leisure, that oversupply reduces prices Are you now saying that isn't true ?

I'd say that's what they were doing Brenty. What they could or could not do then is quite a different matter.

..."it reduces costs, causing prices to drop. Companies make more profits."

That's not generally an either/and/or situation, is it?

Company shareholders and investors demand (DEMAND) the highest possible annual return on their investment, so increased profits is nearly always the order of the day - prices have already been determined by what people were already prepared to pay, so there's no incentive to reduce them (except as a "loss leader", and even that needs to be taken in full context)..

Typical to get no comment about everything I wrote. All the contentious issues conveniently ignored bar Pickles point about the coach.
Pickle, is it a requirement that they have to phisically come and register before they actually move over here?

I'd say you have bugger-all to say about real wages and real labour markets.

So you are au fait with basic economics (I would not dream of suggesting otherwise) and thus you admit prices go down when supply exceeds demand ?

If I was a referee, I'd stop the fight between P50 and Pickled to save the Polish lad from further punishment.

I explained it VERY clearly. Perhaps you'd care to point out where my argument fails?

Until you do, I'm afraid your game is up, mate.

In your case, we get tacky disinformation dressed up as basic economics.

Let's make it even more simple

When supply exceeds demand, what happens to prices ?
