Now there's the kind of economic analysis that we can all laugh at.

Thing is one of them needs to be reigned in/re-educated for his accusations of racism on here, he clearly can't work out what racism actually is and his mudslinging is getting out of order it's that dense.

See! There you go!

Banging on again about "All foreigners", when anybody with a rudimentary grasp of English as it is used, understands that it has a completely different meaning, when used in context, as "All these foreigners".

All your other questions are clearly a desperate attempt to place me on YOUR personal scale of intelligence/education, from which you hope to be able to claw back a semblance of creditability (on this subject).

Hey! Guess what? YOUR scale (of things) doesn't map into the grown-up world.

The role of a central bank is usually defined by whatever constitution it operates under

The Fed for example is mandated to maximise employment via stable prices and managing long term interest rates The ECB's original mandate was similar. But this changed when Draghi made his proclamation even though it was patently obvious that the single currency was structurally flawed and still is

Thus, contrary to your assertion, the threat to the Eurozone is not caused by any of the claims you made, but by an illthought out structure being foisted upon Europe driven by political hubris

The reason why unemployment in the Eurozone remains disgracefully high is because the central bank chose to defend this flawed currency than advocate reform to make it work better, and the price Europe is paying and will continue pay for that, is not only high but entirely self authored

The role of aby central bank is to defensywie the currency people earn their wages in.

There's one poster here who actually sounds like he knows what he's talking about, and seems to be backing up his claims very well.

It's a shame the other side of conversation is rambling like a drunk cuckold who always finds it impossible to back anything up.

There's only one winner here, and it isn't old cabbage breath.

Perhaps now you might be starting to understand why the ECB is in such a precarious position It too used QE, not to improve the Eurozone economy per se, but to defend the single currency (as Draghi stated, "we will save the Euro at all costs")

It's true the Eurozone economy has improved though largely piggy backed off the US recovery. Now, with the US normalising monetary policy ahead of a slowdown (the smart thing to do) the ECB still faces deflationary pressures, sees unemployment still more than double the US rate and high debt to GDP, has been forced to end QE and needs to try and normalise its own policy
without adding to the slowdown because if the EU is facing widespread popular rejection now, how bad will it be if unemployment goes above 10% etc ?

or perhaps you do not understand

Err British is not one race so how can being non-Britsh be one race? It means you come from another country from around the world which means all different colours and creeds.

Again, so how is it racist to mention people who are non-British when they can be from varying colours and creeds.

Are you really that thick?

You have no degree dimmo.

With the US economy nearing full employment and with 10 years now passed since the crash and the deflationary vortex that required QE to repair, it is imperative that a full normal monetary policy is in place ahead of the slowdown

Trumps intervention is not helpful because if the Fed were to reverse its current path to lower rates (US Fed Funds are at 2% whereas the ECB is still mired at 0.25% despite the forced ending of QE), the effect would likely overheat the US economy and cause a much sharper increase in rates that would effect a credit crunch

That is why the Fed need to manage a slowdown now. The the ECB cycle is about 2 years out of kilter is neither here nor there and is something the ECB will have to deal with

The point is that with unemployment in the Eurozone currently at 9.1% and debt to GDP at 83.2% at this point of the cycle, the slowdown will impact those number negatively and the popular shift against the EU will gather pace

You think all foreigners send all their money back home and don't spend money in the UK. Just admit it and not try and wrangle out of it based on "these" in a grammatical context.

You know know what you meant. Be a man and own up? Admit you're a racist.

Where do you go to Uni Mike?
