'The fact is it won't. I was never massively against Brexit '

Liar. You're support for Remain can best be described as 'rabid'.

Are you doing that thing like when obvious Labour voters say, 'I'm not a Labour supporter, but...' and then proceed to constantly slag off the Tories and Lib Dems without ever uttering a word of criticism about Labour?

We're not allowed our own trade agreements while still in the EU.

Mike

What a banal comment. We've been over this too many times and I don't really want to argue with simpletons. Of course as my family live in the UK and myself from time to time want the UK to prosper. So if Brexit is a huge success and the UK has the best standard of living in the EU then I will be quite happy to come on here and eat humble pie.

The fact is it won't. I was never massively against Brexit but the campaign was so dirty. The fact is I was never convinced there was a real plan just sound bites of "we'll get our country back etc" I also knew that the EU would make an example of us regardless of the economic implications.

I never thought Brexit would even be successful in curbing immigration. We were never going to get access to the EU free trade market without freedom of movement within the EU. Although Boris lied and said we would. I lean we're not Schengen so already control our borders.

So were are we now? The negotiations are a shambles. We have already had to borrow billions to fund the 'divorce/exit" The BOE are saying a hard Brexit will be a catastophy. Where are the new trade agreements? The EU has been busy making them with Japan and others

But Mike you seem to know what's best...based on what I have no idea.

Do you NOT want the country to do well, then?

No preconditions, no personal agendas - from where we are now; poised to leave the EU and embark on a new path.

Or is change and uncertainty such an anathema to you?
