The UK scored strongly for international relations as well.

A kick in the balls for Pickled seeing he's suggested we're irrelevant now.

The uncertainty over Brexit has not tarnished "brand Britain", as the UK's soft power shows "no signs of diminishing", according to a report.

In a new global index which ranks the world's top 60 soft power nations, the UK ranked third with a score of 61.8 - behind the USA (67.1) and Germany (61.9).

Hans Cringestian BRANDEDsen shouldn’t be making those types of point, being ignorant of the fact that he is an...... inverted snob.

All joking aside (remember 'humour', WHOers?) if you're going to live in a foreign country, it makes sense to learn some basics of the local language, if only so you know you're not being ripped off for goods and services, or in case of emergency.

"Doctor ayudame por favor! Hay un hámster atrapado dentro de mi ano. Arriba, arriba! La cucaracha, la cucaracha
Ya no puede caminar..." 🎵🎶

And so forth.

The two are in no.way connected. It's not for me to judge the personal.circumstances of another person's relationship.

How that means I haven't got the right to.stand up.for the rights of people to speak.in their language.of choice to.their fellow human beings I am not quite sure.

Debs

I mention adultrey as its something you endorse yet you get hugely offended on many other matters that arnt nearly as morally bereft as a person cheating on their spouse. Just seems that your moral compass is set on a rather jagged course.

As are the bulk.of foreigners and EU citizens living here.

However the point Branded made was regarding language and their refusal to live in Spain and learn.to.speak.spanish, to.the natives at least.

I'm pretty inconsiderate of the needs of eavesdroppers.

I've been in both Italy and Germany in groups of people who can speak the languages quite well (at least for people who aren't in language-based professions).

We always speak English among ourselves, because it's better to communicate in a language you speak really well, rather than one which you speak quite well.

“Most of the time I wish I didn't know English.”

We’d noticed and would heartily support you as you embrace that wish. I’d drive you to the convent, witness you take the vows and even help you don the habit.

SoH how do.you know the ex-pats are politically on my side?

Immigrant populations will always stick together (never slagged english abroad for doing that) it's about safety in numbers often esp given.the grief they often get or have gotten historically.

"...ever tried to take the trouble of learning a foreign language yourselves?"

Why the fuck would I ever want to do that? So I could communicate with even MORE people? Are you mental? Most of the time I wish I didn't know English.

Why the fuck.are you talking about adultery?

I am.not being holier than.thou, that's just another right wing way of shutting down debate when you have nothing more solid as evidence than a notion.of what manners are (subjective at best) and anecdotal evidence.

Yet you have not answered my question.on how we differentiate in big cities with high concentrations of speakers of various languages who.we can expect to.be speaking english and who we can't if only hearing them.in passing or on a tube train?

Your argument is embedded in xenophobia and suspicion

Except braggy liar Hans Cringestian BRANDEDsen wasn’t Debz......oh and I don’t sit on here all saintly like you so don’t give a fuck about hypocrisy especially when I just pointed out your comrade Brits in Spain being on your political side.

I don’t like any community that sticks to their backwards traditions so strictly they deny any kind of evolution except the one in a fucking book as opposed to actual scientific evidence and then some of them go on to be doctors now that’s hypocritical....and no it’s not just Islam....

Re: EU Referendum 23rd June 2016 declares Cameron
Any of you numpties who take offence at people not speaking English properly or daring to use their own language within earshot in the UK ever tried to take the trouble of learning a foreign language yourselves?

You’ll possibly find the experience mind-opening enough to actually appreciate the chance to have contact with languages other than your own, strange as it may seem.

Re: EU Referendum 23rd June 2016 declares Cameron
Side because us lefties were pointing out the hypocrisy of this but plenty of if not most foreign people here will be bi-lingual.

Can you say the same?
