'I'm very happy with my answer, especially given you can't even address it.'

But Pickled, you haven't answered. I have addressed your statement though. I've addressed it so carefully that I've asked for some evidence or logic to justify it.

You do know the difference between an answer and 'not an answer' don't you? Perhaps you think that even one reader is dumb enough to think you are refusing to justify your statement with actual facts and logic.

I await you next attempt to avoid answering with amusement.

The financing is not going to be funded from taxes up front because, apart from there being a lack of fiscal instruments for such a venture (no fiscal union), the money is simply going to be printed and distributed. So no further tax burden is going to be incurred as the loans mature and are redeemed. This is what can be done when you have such a strong economic base as we enjoy in the EU.

I think we'll do fine without it Thickle.

If it ever actually materialises because it is due to be funded from taxes that don't actually exist yet and haven't been signed off to exist either.

Why did you miss this bit out of that little boast, seeing as after all you are supposed to be in the real world and it is us who are the fantasists?

Ah, the fabled EU magic money tree.

The krauts & frogs are going to love paying that lot back to whoever it's borrowed from - unless it's Ponzi.

Anyway, in the real world far away from Ratched's Brexit magic garden where the pointy-headed pixies play and the well of bullshit springs eternal, there is the serious business of recovery funding to attend too as we weather the coronavirus recession. How fortunate therefore that the EU economy is strong enough for the ECBank to generate over €750bn worth of interest-free money, the core of which will be €390bn of grants with the main net beneficiaries being Croatia, Bulgaria, Greece and Portugal, though Spain and Italy will also gain support. That is, of course, not to say that single entities requiring support in net contributor members like Germany, Holland and Denmark will not be recipients in what must be the biggest recession recovery package in history.

Such a shame the UK is missing out, but that's what winning is all about, I suppose.

I saw some Alpacas while out for a run on Saturday. I have no idea what their milk taste like though and I couldn't ask as my Spanish alpaca noises aren't up to much.

Cabbage maybe you can sing this at the bench tonight?

Me and Pickle in a little toy shop
Buy a bag of cabbiges with the money we’ve got
Set them free at the break of dawn
Till one by one they were gone
Back at base, sparks in the software
Flash the message ?? somethings out there??
Floating in the summer sky
Ninety nine red cabbiges go by
Ninety nine red cabbiges
Floating in the summer sky
Panic bells, its red alert
There’s someone here from somewhere else
The war machine springs to life
Opens up one racist eye
And focusing it on the sky
The ninety nine red cabbiges go by
Ninety nine decisions treat
Ninety nine ministers meet
To worry, worry, super scurry
Call the troops out in a hurry
This is what we've waited for
This is it boys, this is war
The President is on the line
As ninety nine red cabbiges go by
