Next 2 im expecting 2 defeats

After that we could kick on and try and nab 6th, think we'll just get shifted by Chelsea though

7th would be a great season

Cliché, but one game at a time. Time to do the blue scousers. Would be a fantastic result if we can pick up 3 points tomorrow.

Fancy us to nick something at Chelsea too. Even with their stand in manager.

Just had £2.50ew on at 500-1

Along with my tenner a few months back at 50-1 on a top 4 finish.

typical west ham will get beat at everton and pick up a few more injuries.

It can feel a little condescending at times but also be an advantage when the media pat us on the head and say 'aren't little west ham doing well', Leicester have also benefitted from this attitude.

Jack Flash

You say if we get past Man Utd it will stretch the squad to the limit?

Surely it would mean a maximum of ONE extra game until the league season ends.

As I said in August.
We're going to win the league

As far as we're concerned, a lot depends on our cup run

IF we get past Manu, the squad will be stretched to the limit with the injuries we have (& will get in the coming games, starting with Everton)

It's been a very long season for us

I think a top 4 place is attainable, which would be a terrific achievement) but more realistically, a top 6 is more likely

I would be disappointed to finish lower than that (unless we get to the Cup Final)

It's been a strange season but at least we've shown we can go out & beat the best!

I've seen a couple of predictions in papers based on remaining games. Given this year though, I don't think it's a worthwhile exercise. The season, above all others, has shown that all bets are off in individual games. Apart from Villa, and perhaps Newcastle for the rest of the season, anyone game win any game.

Blimey! That would be something.

I'd actually like the title/relegation placed to be settled in games the media hasn't selected to show this season - that is, if they show their 4 "big teams" games on the penultimate weekend, none of the results in those games have any, or as much impact on the final table as those in the 6 they don't show.

When is the final media tranche announced, by the way. Have I missed it?

We do have a tough run-in. Some title challengers as well as some resurgent teams with decent to excellent squads and teams like Everton and Watford that have not given up on Europe.

The good news is that if we win or draw, we will often be taking points from exactly the teams we need to. And we have done better against better teams generally.

Not contenders and still probably not top 4 but I think we can stay close to where we are. I think 5th or 6th might have edged being easier than winning the Cup at this point. But still if we have to focus, probably should be the latter.

Win our remaining 10 games; then why not?!

Should be close then.

Fucking easy.

Best script, based on the only two teams that really gained last night, is that us and man u go on a w w w w w w run while all those above us lose and draw all the way to the end, then the title decider is the last match at Upton Park.

If Carlsberg did ends of eras........

We have the second hardest run-in in the PL. That said, we've found it easier (!) to beat the hard teams than the easy teams.

We've only lost to the Yids (put that right last night) and Leicester, and we didn't know Leicester were any good at the time.

No chance, as much as I'm enjoying it at the moment, 8th or 9th is still just as possible as 4th or 5th.
