2016 NFL Season
Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent.

Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB,

Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt.

lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all.

I tried watching that game on BBC. After half an hour I had seen about 2 minutes of actual play. There was an awful lot of chatting and gesturing going on. Frankly it amazes me that anyone could sit and watch an entire match.

i had a good day at Wembley today, Titans tried a 2 point conversion in dying seconds instead of going for the easy 1 point to draw the game. probably wrong, but the crowd enjoyed it
(beer up to £ 6- 50 a pint now)

Just printing money backing Gurley even at 3/1.

Cleaning up on the bloke, cunt has 12 td's already and scores first most weeks.

Peterson anytime now for an amazing night's dabbling.

Had a mare last week, so nice clawing it back.

yes Cough, he played safety for us when we beat the Broncos in the superbowl. he's a good defensive co-ordinator but it's a tough job there

Re: 2016 NFL Season
Mortgages well worth sticking on the rams.

Tough against them anyway, but especially as we've got the biggest injury list in nfl history.

Could have got a game myself!!

Re: 2016 NFL Season
Yeah they are definitely stacked, Andy Reid teams usually come out the games really fast and then slw down as teams start figuring more things out, but it may well be different with Mahomes there as he can do so many things that are just unscripted.

Would love to see the matchup again in January although I also don't want any part of the Chiefs as they are the one team in the AFC that I wouldn't be confident of beating.

Home field advantage will be huge as it would be a completely different game in Arrowhead, so hopefully the chiefs have one or 2 slip ups throughout the season and the game will be in New England again :)

Re: 2016 NFL Season
I honestly think that even with more tape teams are still going to struggle to contain this offence. The best coach in the game had 10 days preparation time, threw in a bunch of disguised coverages, and still managed to gave up 40 points - this was with Mahomes missing two easy throws that would have been TDs, rather than FGs.

The offence is so loaded this year and teams can't double everyone so it's a case of pick your poison.

Our defense is the killer - we are currently on course to give up the most yards in a season during the Superbowl era. If we are serious about making a run in the playoffs that has to be sorted out - even a middling defence would get the job done IMO.

Re: 2016 NFL Season
Yeah it was definitely one of the more entertaining games I've seen for a while, although I would like to see teams at least play a little bit of defence.

Pats did have a few penalties called on them just none enforced as I remember one on Edelman was offset against a chiefs penalty and another one or 2 were declined by the chiefs.

Think it will come down to home field advantage if they see echother again in January Pats are only one game behind now with the tiebreaker so should be interesting.

I also think that barring injuries the Patriots offense will only get better as Edelman, Michel, and Gordon work their way in and acclimatise more, not sure how much better the Chiefs offense could ever get, if anything could see them slowing down as teams start getting more tape on Mahomes and maybe start figuring him out.

Re: 2016 NFL Season
The game against the Pats was entertaining and, despite us losing, I’m still feeling very positive. Our offence wasn’t clicking at all first half, our defence was even worse than usual and we weren’t awarded any penalties - despite this we only lost by 3.

Just bought tickets to see us steamroller the Raiders at the Coliseum in December. Should be an interesting one.
