2016 NFL Season
Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent.

Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB,

Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt.

lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all.

Mike agreed and crystal, yes, it's the NFL covering their arses against lawsuits

Re: 2016 NFL Season
Gets to a point where they have to just accept that this is a violent game, the people playing it know what they're getting into.

I understand them doing everything they can to limit the hits to the head after all the trouble they're in with concussions and all the lawsuits, but other than that just let the gown men go out there and see who's bigger, faster & stronger.

cough, McMahon's struggled for years now with his health, in particular early on set dementia brought on by neck and head injuries. its another reason to watch the bears 85 doc, where it covers his life now

.......and im all for harsher penalties on cunts who blatantly attempt to harm other players but marginal calls when pursuing a QB will ruin the game

God know how refs of today would react to the Packers Charles Martin's BRUTAL body slam to the Bears QB Jim McMahon? Now that's what roughing the passer is

making it a non contact sport will kill it

Re: 2016 NFL Season
The NFL has agreed with the ref and is sending a video of that play to all clubs on what NOT to do

Like I said, it's going to be flag football next

Re: 2016 NFL Season
Yeah this new rule about not landing with your weight on the QB seems absolutely absurd, if you've just ran full speed straight into someone and tackled them, how are you supposed to not land on them.

Re: 2016 NFL Season
Whoops I misread your post and never saw the game but their was an earlier roughing the passer call on the Vikes Kendricks as well.

They'll be tying flags to the QBs waists soon, that's what the NFL is coming to

Re: 2016 NFL Season
yes cough, cousins as i thought is thriving throwing to diggs & thielen. it would be easy to say we should have paid the money but im not sure anyone would enjoy the current situation at the skins. snyder seems more interested in planning for a new stadium than having a capable head coach, we can't even fill the current stadium. it should be fun this weekend against rodgers

Re: 2016 NFL Season
Haha, have your team ever had a roughing the passer called on them?

Oh no, I forgot, just underinflated balls is your trick play

Far cough

Yes your kicker missed a few kicks but you shouldnt have even tied, i cant stand the packers but that roughing the passer call on clay matthews that negated an interception on the last drive of regular time was complete horseshit.

Another good win on the road by the Chiefs yesterday, despite the officials doing all they could to keep the Steelers in it. Really hoping that our D can improve as we can’t keep relying on Mahomes and others to put up big numbers. Expecting a win against the 49ers at Arrowhead this week though.

I think you're doing a little bit of a disservice to the WR's Cooks, Woods and Cupp who are all very good but yes Gurley is the main man.

Defensively very good as well, no points scored against us in 6 quarters and Arizona didn't get over midfield until right at the end of the game yesterday. Still bigger tests (not the 49ers) to come.

Re: 2016 NFL Season
You love it burnsy.

Very reliant on Gurley, but your defence looks cracking this year and nothing wrong with being reliant on a bloke smashing in td's for fun.

That's bad luck, you support two teams with shit owners

We should have won yesterday but our kicker missed 3 (THREE) fucking field goals, Vikes should sign Carlton Cole, he's good at ballooning the ball over the bar

......that's probably harsh on shanahan as allen made his job impossible. we just have crap people in charge, i wish he'd sell us and fuck off

Re: 2016 NFL Season
it's probably too early to panic as the colts could have beat a much improved bengals in week one, but the inability to run the ball was worrying and when in desperate need of two touchdowns with very little time left, smith continued with his checkdown, short pass shit that just ate up bundles of time and moved us nowhere. the more i watch us, the more we resemble west ham. a horrible owner (sullivan/snyder), an even worse general manager (brady/allen) and a succession of shit managers/head coaches
