Wireless speakers. Spotify and all that....
Im always behind the times with this kind of thing. Looking to buy one of these speakers and hear Sonos are the best?

Wont use it a massive amount. Just to go in the new extension.

£170 for the play 1 or something, or ive seen philips do one for £50. Are the sonos ones worth the extra?

Sonos all day long.

I have play 5 and play 3 and a connect to play through my main speakers, however, I've just sold my Kef's and I'll sell the connect and replace with a Sonos soundbar and possibly a couple of play 1's to replace the rears.

Sonos hold their money brilliantly too, so if you pay up now and don't use it, you'll get a good chunk of your money back if you sell it.

Totally depends what you want. If you want a multi room solution then Sonos is the answer. But you might just want a simple BT speaker or a decent sound with less cost of possible. Or an option that can be moved around the house or outside.

Lots of great single BT speakers like Bose around.

But also have a look at the UE Boom range. Wireless BT speakers that are comparably tiny and super portable and can be paired up to give true stereo sound. I have a pair of the mini UE booms. Cracking sound that I use for holidays and outside in my bar linked wirelessly to an iPad. You might want to consider getting a pair of them, or the larger UE boom options and have them set up in your lounge but be able to pick up and move around easily

if you've got a few more quid the Naim Muso wins for me, pricey though but sound wise blows the socks of Sonos.

they do 2 flavours the QB which I've got in the kitchen

and the full size Muso which is also working as a soundbar

Can't you channel all your wires into the wall? that's what I've done, my soundbar sits flush under the tv with no ires showing at all.

Have a tidy up then you messy git.

Joking aside, get some cable ties mate they're really good and you can put all the cables in one tube if you wanted. Really does the job and can go along skirting or just along the wall easy enough.

Go on richer sounds they have some great Receivers (Like I say don't touch the soundbars) and some great speakers.

Whoops, didn't see that.

Part of the issue is the soundbar is covering a load of messy wires, plugs etc.

How are the suggestions for a new soundbar for me coming along?

Re: Wireless speakers. Spotify and all that....
Wouldn't touch soundbars. You would be much better off going for an AC receiver with the full surround speakers.

With regards to the Sonos if it is the same price as others just get the Sonos, you won't regret it.
