Hodgson says no to Carroll.
Papers reckon that Hodgson isn't interested in Carroll.

Face facts if Vardy, Kane and Alli all played for West Ham he wouldn't pick them, I'm not sure why he has a dislike for us?

Blokes a cock.

I'll be supporting France.

As effective as he is Antonio has no idea what he's doing until he's done it.

Re: Hodgson says no to Carroll.
You can argue for and against Carroll, Noble and even Antonio.
However who is England’s left back Bertrand, Shaw, Baines ?
I’d have Cresswell over all of them.
Would love to see a team featuring Antonio on the right Cresswell on the Left putting in Balls to Vardy and Carroll
Can’t see it happening for England maybe Vardy should come and play for West Ham quick haircut and a couple of Tattoos and he will fit right in

England have the players to win Euros '16, unfortunately I think Pidgeon Face will fuck it up.

Carroll will always be known as a sick note, he's too much of a gamble for the England squad.

Re: Hodgson says no to Carroll.
Nine goals in 23 league games now, compared to 7 in 23 for Wayne Rooney (C).

Surely an intelligent manager (ha) like Woy can see he provides one hell of an option off the bench?

Mind you, can't get injured if he doesn't play.. Probably.

Hodgson looks like he'd be the last man picked in a team of Owls.

Why are you so brilliant at football Sir Alf but so shit at anything else?

Re: Hodgson says no to Carroll.
He causes havoc at times for defences (even our own ;-) ) but usually as an impact sub and would provide an option that could possibly save games for England if we need to change things. He is much different to all the other strikers and would mean England having a plan B.

Hodgson is, like most England managers, tactically conservative and favours his one system, all the time. He will believe, even with 10 mins to go and 2 down, that peserverance with the same approach will pay off rather than suprising the opposition with something completely different.

Hodgson will not achieve anything more than his predecessors and in fact will likely see us underachieving more than normal (if that is possible).

After today he looks like he would be one of our better bets in a penalty shoot out as well.

As for what Welbeck brings to the England squad, normally a zany haircut of some kind.

It's a strange response from a man that picked Jesse Lingard on the back of one goal.

I add my name to the list of people who couldn't give a flying fuck in regards to the national team.

I don't want him to play for England, he'd only get injured/knackered!

Fucking hell, just read what Roy has said on ESPN, so i take it all back if this is true........................

http://www.espnfc.co.uk/england/story/2852397/roy-hodgson-keeping-england-attacking-options-open-for-euros

"We know Andy, we know his qualities," the England boss said.

"In an ideal world, certainly, if you had a lot of places at your disposal you'd always include a guy like him because he is exceptional in the air.

"But whether or not I'd be able to include him with all these others, I don't know.

"But it's not out of the question because he's English, he's a centre-forward, he's scoring, he's a good player, so who knows?

"When the time comes and I'm looking at what's available, maybe he'll be there.

"But I'm certainly not going to pick him on the basis of he scored a hat trick so therefore he has to be in the England team.

"I think that's poor work from a mass media point of view that every time someone scores a goal and he's English 'why is he not playing for England?'

Re: Hodgson says no to Carroll.
He's right about Carroll because he isn't good enough, but his statement which effectively blocks anyone who hasn't been involved so far is stupid, crass and should ensure he gets sacked after the Euros.
