Watford set to rest their entire team
Reports in various newspapers are indicating that Watford are set to make TEN changes to their starting line up, with only Heureulo Gomes keeping his place. Big chance tonight to stick 3 or 4 past them and move above Utd into 5th.

I doubt they wouldn't have played any games, I'm sure they would have been involved in reserve fixtures?

Geep has it about right

Ok, let me rephrase. Certainly not hungrier than our lot, but hungry to prove themselves ahead of the weekend at least, and if they've not been playing regularly, they are going to be less fatigued than our players who have had three very tough games in the last ten days.

I personally don't think it'll be a huge issue unless it's close in the last 15-20 minutes, but it could be a factor. I hope we don't underestimate them.

Easy game or a tough one. They won't be used to playing together against decent opposition, but they'll individually be up for it.

Depends which of these factors is dominant - they're unlikely to exactly cancel out.

"A word of caution about tonight though, if they play a lot of reserves, they'll be hungry and much fresher than most of our lot"

Are you mental?

Barring a disaster, we'll actually end up with a positive goal difference as well. Probably a double digit goal difference at that.

A word of caution about tonight though, if they play a lot of reserves, they'll be hungry and much fresher than most of our lot. I hope comparative fatigue doesn't play a part

Last time we went through a top flight season without anyone doing the double over us was 2001-2002

this makes the game tricky

in theory we should smash them but it never works like that does it

we have decent run of fixtures now and a great chance to break the 60 point barrier, have we ever done this?

Not since 85/86 in the top flight. So never in the Premier League era

All joking aside, Watford have got 41 points. They are eleven points clear of the relegation battle, with their FA Cup semi final on Saturday.

They're looking at Wembley. I'm surprised they've only rested ten of the eleven that are playing there in a few days.

Who is this 'United' you speak so fondly of? Surely not us, we're sixth. Could you help to clear this confusion up please?

Watford are the one remaining team we have to play that could do the win double over us this season. Be nice to put that one to bed. When was the last time we went a PL season without any team Doubling us?
