Roy Hodgson's discipline problem
Pressure games for Spurs in the last week .... approaching the intensity of international fixtures which will occur in the upcoming Euro's

Dele Alli ... unavailable as a crafty foreign Johnny wound him up so he punched him
Rose & Walker ..: played like madmen throwing themselves into nonsensical tackles
Dier .... defensive cool head holding in midfield. Lost his rag & chopped two players down with suicidal tackles

Do these players have the RIGHT STUFF?
I am unconvinced
Does Roy have the GRAVITAS to deal with sort this out?
I am even less convinced

Re: Roy Hodgson's discipline problem
When you see the actual incumbants, you have to wonder why Cresswell isn't getting a look in, given the season he's having.

Maybe after these championships is his time, although Luke Shaw will of course be straight back in the squad regardless of form as soon as he can jog again.

Rose is absolute shit. But West Hams good left backs have always shafted when it comes to international caps

Re: Roy Hodgson's discipline problem
On the performance last night Walker and Rose are a real liability. The England defence is shaky enough anyway, and if they can be wound up like that and get silly yellow/red cards then I worry for them at the Euros.

Lack of discipline from the full backs in terms of team shape as well as keeping cool heads will cost us.

Mark my words.

An eye injury?

Re: Roy Hodgson's discipline problem
Hodgson is fucking clueless and he has taken England backwards. If anyone seriously thinks they can do anything in France with a very poor defence and midfield then think again.

On a related note.

What sort of injury was dembele trying to inflict on Costa with eye gouging?

Re: Roy Hodgson's discipline problem
It's the nutty influence from the 3 super firms that does it. You could tell from the blatant disregard for TV cameras.

Re: Roy Hodgson's discipline problem
Sven, you don't need to ask that question of Poc because he clearly has no control of his players and he is the one who spends the time with them.

Re: Roy Hodgson's discipline problem
I think they've just proved what everybody knew they're not up to international football at an emotional or intellectual level.

This is probably the poorest England side I've seen for decades especially the midfield

Re: Roy Hodgson's discipline problem
Think Roy's biggest problem is Roy and the fact he's a cunt incapable of spotting a shit player, wearing a man utd/Liverpool shirt.

I'll have no complaints if the 3 Spurs lads start (not that useless cunt Walker) and I'm sure discipline won't be a problem.

Monstrous game last night against bitter rivals, so have to take that into account.

I've just watched the highlights again, as I thought it was truly bloody marvellous to see such tackling/fouling on a pitch once again. One of the most enjoyable no-hammers games of the season. Proper game other than the silly play acting.

It's OK everyone. Woy said that they were just being human beings and reacting as human beings would.

I'm not sure walker or dier should be in the squad in the first place, walker a hot head and not that good, dier seems very one dimensional to me.

Sven Roeder 1:55 Tue May 3
Re: Roy Hodgson's discipline problem
Dier's tackles were late in the match but Rose & Walker were mental from minute 1
Alli didn't even make the pitch

El Scorchio 1:53 Tue May 3
Re: Roy Hodgson's discipline problem
I think most players would have behaved similar to the spurs lot last night in the last 10 minutes, playing with utter desperation against a team who know how to time waste and were keeping the ball superbly. Not overly surprising the occasion got to them with the title on the line and they lost their heads somewhat.

They can probably be forgiven for that, although Dier was bloody lucky not to get a red card.

The players have the right stuff, but roy has no gravitas whatsoever..
