They were only trying to make the players feel at home

I didn't boo..........though I may have woken myself up snoring.

Players losing but putting in an excellent shift and loads of graft = encouraging clap off

Prima donas on 50k+ a week showing zero effort expecting the oppo to just roll over = boo away

Booing at half time has been a regular thing at UP over the last few seasons so no blaming the day trippers for this one.

Re: Booing the players off at half time
"We dominated the match inc in the first half. We just couldn't finish and made one stupid mistake."

Fifth, with respect, that doesn't make it any better.

Since I was 7 years old that's been the case all the time, "West Ham started well"... "oooh but we played great football".. "we were all over them"... "loads of shots on targets"... "one silly mistake and they got a lucky goal" etc etc.

It is FUCKING FRUSTRATING. Its probably this trend of West Ham dominating games but never scoring and then chucking the game away due to a stupid fucking mistake that makes our fans so jumpy and emotional.

I've never been one to boo. But if you're watching the team you love after all the promise of last season, crash out of Europe cos they lose to a pack of third world peasants after "dominating" the game, you're gonna be pissed off. And if someone who's paid their money decides to take that out by letting the cunts on the pitch know how they think, then that is up to them.

I personally don't give a shit how well we play if we lose. You don't advance to the next round of a cup based on completed passes or possession.

Re: Booing the players off at half time
It wasn't huge amount of booing. It was a small number of twats.

The booing didn't effect their 2nd half performance, the manager did.

People pay the money, they can do what they like.

Certainly was better second half.

Re: Booing the players off at half time
Booing at the end is one thing. Booing at half time doesn't help. We dominated the match inc in the first half. We just couldn't finish and made one stupid mistake. They put in the effort but didn't have the final quality.

If they are lazy then boo but they weren't lazy. Prior to the Astra goal there had been quite a bit of noise and support so most of the booing at half time was basically because we'd just let a goal in, not because of the performance. I come to support the team. If they're lazy cunts then give them grief, but if they've just conceded then booing doesn't help.

I think people booed because it wasted last seasons efforts to get in the European spots, and it was against opposition from a tinpot league.

Re: Booing the players off at half time
Wait wait wait. Has the Upton Park nostalgia reached the level that we are surprised when fans boo after we play dogshit?!

I remember when sizeable numbers of our fans booed even if we won.

I have no problems with fans airing their frustration it sounds like it was justified tbh

I would have stoned the useless cunts if I were there.

Re: Booing the players off at half time
Too fucking right people were booing. That first half performance was garbage and the players need to realise it's unacceptable. I'm sure Slav wasn't all happy clappy when they got back to the changing room either.

That's ok. Everyone likes popcorn, but I'm not sure it's good as a half time snack?

I suggest orange slices next time.

Re: Booing the players off at half time
I didn't boo as i ain't a panto cunt. I supported them like they were strippers and encouraged the millionaires by throwing more money at them when they went down the tunnel.

MOTIVATION.

I'm good like that though.
