Make a new club because we keep losing games of football?

I do not think that was the reason behind AFC Wimbledon..

I see there was a company called Thames Ironworks Football Club Limited incorporated in 2010 and dissolved this year. Only director was called Darren Styles whoever he is.

Let's have some of that with the old light blue shirt, white shorts and scarlet socks

Not something I think I could get behind. I could never 'support' someone else even though the sentiment is right.
I know a few mancs that do the FC United, most of them are despised by MUFC (actual fans that go away) etc and made up of divs. The novelty also falls out fairly quickly, the irony is the same could happen with our stadium.

I will give it until the end of the season before making a full decision but West Ham United aways will do me. Each to their own and if it takes off fairplay.

Couldnt agree more eshine.

We started a protest movement yesterday. 200 of us nearly. its only going to get bigger.

they have completely sold the club out and us fans down the river. we are a laughing stock off the pitch. The owners are far too involved.!!

We are all in mourning after a parent has died. Problem is it is going to take time to get over it and the fact our new mum is a big false breast porn star wanabe will take sometime to get used to especially so soon. But hey wwe may have some good times and grow yo like her, perhaps a bit more surgery could be quite good. Can't give up on your parent straight if it feels like they have on us.

I love this idea. It'll never happen. Shame as that experience yesterday at the iconic popcorn bowl was nowhere near the West Ham I've supported for years.

You would just call it 'West Ham Football Club', without the 'United'.

I can only comment from a far, as I haven’t been to the new stadium, so can only go on what’s written here, it doesn’t sound good TBH, but talking of a breakaway so soon is a bit premature IMO, would there be talk of this happening had we won most of our games this season???

With the Club trying to attract a different kind of support or pushing the old supporters out or alienating them, again haven’t been to the new stadium but can also see that to survive and prosper we do need to attract more supporters and become more commercial, that’s football these days, its no longer about the club and the locals, its big business, but I do hope that’s wrong about pushing the old guard out or changing the face of the West Ham supporter.

Was never going to be easy to uproot the club to a new home, not really sold on the new badge or all this branding of the club that’s going on, surely the history of the club does that?, hope in time it works out, but think no one including the board saw the problems both on and off the pitch coming this season, most if anything thought it was onwards and upwards.

Re: AFC WEST HAM
Stoneman, the problem is the shyster cunts have probably trademarked that. I'm not sure if they can trademark West Ham because it belongs to an area of east London and was borrowed by the club.

I'd rather be sharing brisbane Rd than playing where we are now

Re: AFC WEST HAM
Syd, have you read the arguments to breakaway? Without us West Ham doesn't mean anything and right now the club are actively trying to change the face of the West Ham supporter.

Time will tell of course, but this club from top to bottom is alienating the one thing that would be there rain or shine, us.

Re: AFC WEST HAM
Or how about FC United? oh hang on thats been taken...

Ham West United? WH United?, and with a ground maybe we could share Brisbane road with Orient, they would be the bigger club, but sure there owners wouldnt mind?

Re: AFC WEST HAM

Spot on, we're at risk of losing everything that made us special over there, all down to the Board and Brady's alienating and gentrifying West Ham's proper support...

Couple of years down the line once attendances have dropped off and enough people are fed up, this will take off I reckon.
