The Sun, St Austell. Then switched to The Queen's Head, St Austell, when I was 17. Sometimes The Holmbush or The Rashleigh. Went to College in Essex. The Castle, Brentwood, The Victoria Arms, Brentwood, The Rising Sun and the Charles Napier, Brentwood. Moved to Harold Wood. The Harold, The Bear, after work (Harold Hill) or The Shepherd and Dog, again, after work on Fridays. Don't really have one now. But if we're out after work, The Treacle Mine in Grays.

The Greyhound, Chadwell Heath was walking distance from me. Back in the 90s they had a pool room the size of a barn replete with an indie jukebox. Happy times spent there.
Sometimes go to the Harvester it's now become with my Mum and Dad. Not really the same...

I used to meet in the Crown car park regularly for Sunday Morning football (away games)
Home ground Cottons Park so regularly drunk in the Crown after matches.
Except when we had (quite often) beaten the Prince Albert ( who shared Cottons with us) Then we would go back there to laud it over them.
As for the Slaters a good mate of mine broke his leg playing and lived in London Rd so could limp to that boozer where he became quite friendly with Jimmy Greaves who was then at West Ham and drank in there most lunch times.

The Roding Pub in East Ham was the first pub I got thrown out of after buying my first pint (might have been a half) must have been aged about 14 or 15 at the time. ( circa 1962 ). Got served in a group of mates, then the publican sidled over and told us to drink up a quietly leave.
First regular local in mid 60s was the Toll Gate - Chadwell Heath - Jim the governor was very friendly with West Ham players who used it after training.

Grew up in Wellingborough, local there was The Calendar, proper spit & sawdust local. If you wasn't recognized you would probably get a cue around the back of your head or offered outside.
At football from 86 I used either POW, Duke or Stanley.
