As a season ticket holder for 25 years the most nervous I can remember being seeing a GK on the team sheet was Bywater. He made some mistakes, OK his defense was also pretty terrible, that cost us a lot of points in our first season for Div1 and I remember feeling particularly edgy when he had to come on for little Jimmy Walker in the playoff final the next year.

It's normally drawn from goalkeepers who come into sides at a very young age and are then ridiculously overhyped purely because of their youth. Then there is a realisation that they are indeed shit
Kirkland, Gordon, sceszny et al.
The one prime example that springs to mind is the fat bricklayer, Paul Robinson.
Lots of very average keepers get extremely lucky though, valdes, Casillas etc.

Alan FETTIS who played for Blackburn was pretty bad.
Every time one of our players got on the ball, the crowd shouted 'shoot!'. Naturally we didn't take advantage...
