Documentaries
Need something new to watch, so thought it was time for another of these. A couple to get things going.

Milius (2013) Feature length documentary about the man who gave us everything from “Feel lucky, punk?” to “I Love the smell of napalm in the morning” and much more besides. Scorsese, Coppola, Spielberg et al line up to pay tribute.

Youth Terror, the View From Behind the Gun (1978) ABC News documentary about youth crime in New York. One for fans of ’80 Blocks from Tiffany’s” etc.

And before anyone says it: Couple of clips from the 1977/78 Thames series “This Sporting Land” Sadly, the second one’s silent stock footage, but you can’t have everything. Anyone on here spot themseves?

Re: Documentaries
Evil Genius is an odd one. As others have mentioned, I don’t think she was a genius at all and nor were the rest. They got lucky for a while which was purely down to the disconnects between the FBI and State police as well as other agencies. If the various forces had been joined up from the beginning the case would have been solved in weeks. The documentary whilst interesting only showed up how incompetent the various forces were in exchanging information.

Re: Documentaries
Also I may have already mentioned this but "sorry i shot you" is very good.

https://youtu.be/lf6Pk4CJnII

About the rapper Stanaman (don't expect more than about 2 other posters to have heard of him), lad from a good family who went off the rails when his parents died and ended up shooting a copper in Leytonstone a few years back. Now free and reformed.

Park your immediate prejudices at the door and have a watch, it's well worth it.

Re: Documentaries
Re Evil Genius.

I don't think "genius" comes into it. She was just a very nasty (albeit quite fit) woman who knocked about with losers who she knew she could manipulate.

Drop her into any big city or even anywhere with a bit about it and she'd have had no influence.

Re: Documentaries
I agree, lowlife. Just a load of bragging. If they were such geniuses, why stay in that relatively backwater town? You'd head off for somewhere more sophisticated and with better opportunities.

Re: Documentaries
Just finished EVIL GENIUS. Mental.

Also, Marjorie was quite hot in her younger days. Anyone who married her would have been devastated. I’m also pretty sure she, and other characters, weren’t as intelligent as suggested.
