Who’s your favourite West Ham player ever?

As only being a youngish Hammer I haven't seen much success however Paolo Di Canio has to be my favourite with Tevez being in a close 2nd.
I did absolutely love Joe Cole, however when he celebrated by jumping into the Chelsea crowed and kissing his badge when we played them a few years after he left I thought he was a bit of a cunt.
So Paolo for me.

Trevor Brooking.
Moore and Hurst were still at the club when I started going, but their greatest achievements were behind them. I'd probably pick one of them had I started going earlier

Has a boy growing up joe cole was my pin up. But di canio edges it for me. Is last goal at upton park made me emotional.

When I was younger it was Macavennie, remember a few tears when we sold him, but now a little older and wiser people should not look beyond Brooking and Bonds.
Please. S Dicks should be on no persons list. C*nt of a man when at the club who shit on the club and Bonds. His 'love' for West Ham is 100% money related. Google hundreds of interviews from years ago when he did nothing but slagged the club off.

Would have to be Brooking.
Growing up my late mother used him as a role model. If I'd fibbed or been otherwise naughty, she'd ask him rhetorically if i thought Trevor Brooking would have done what I just did.
Looking back on this now, from the perspective of today, it seems a bit strange to use a top-flight footballer as any kind of role model. But Brooking was respectful, loyal, etc, etc So actually show quite a contrast to the likes of Terry, Lampard Jr, Payet, etc!
