Ron, you have to follow the comedy circuit when it comes to football abuse over here.Gone is the 'Alf Garnett, Love thy neighbour' humour of the 70's to be replaced with observational humour like 'he talks like a mong' where even his team mates will think they've got a point.

It's moved on in it's cleverness........and racism is way past it's sell by........basic in its entirety.

They'd have to be a right bunch of faggots if they did, Ronald. Am I right?

Re: Sulley Muntari

So were my detractors outraged when players visited the Boleyn Ground, and were subjected to a torrent of disgusting, hate filled abuse which wasn't racially motivated?

Re: Sulley Muntari
Seems it's the only way it gets discussed in the general public.

Think Muntari has got the result he wants on the issue of racism, moaning afterwards would mean for him having to except it and he doesn't have to.

He's rich enough now to not have to kick a football again, and Europe is too slow in sorting it out.

Re: Sulley Muntari
I think the point is that the football authorities should be doing something about the racist chanting, fine the club etc NOT the player on the pitch whilst playing, if anything by getting angry about it, he is just making the chanting worse, ever noticed that at football? Chanting of whatever gets under the skin of player, so it happens more…………………..

And let’s make it clear he didn’t get banned for protesting about racism, he got banned as he had collected 5 yellow cards, the last of which was for refusing to play and wanting the Ref to do something about it, again WTF could the ref have done, abandoned the game?? But again the point is it was DURING PLAY, if they stopped games every time a player got upset about being abused or called a cunt etc they just as well play all games behind closed doors.

And by all means if players in Italy (or in any league), black and white want to protest about it and bring to the attention of the authorities to try and stamp it out, then by all means that’s fair enough, but don’t go trying to STOP a match in progress with a 1 man protest.

Bang on Ronald. Nothing wrong with a bit of racism.

Hate filled prejudice has never hurt anyone and shouldn't be taken seriously.

Ex-Tottenham striker Garth Crooks says "every self-respecting black player" in the Italian league should strike this weekend unless Sulley Muntari's one-match suspension is withdrawn.

Bantz.. Harding = Golden Oldie

A West Ham fan who sent vile anti-Semitic abuse to a founder of the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust has been spared prison.

Mark Harding, 48, told Holocaust survivor Agnes Grunwald-Spier MBE to “stick your head in the oven like the Jew you are” on Twitter.

He had spent the day drinking while watching his team lose to Tottenham in November last year , and sent a second message saying he hoped she would “die in a freak car accident.”

Harding later blamed the incident on “football banter”, claiming he had been baited by Spurs fans online in the wake of his team’s defeat.

Re: Sulley Muntari
As much as I think we are past all this racist shit and it shouldn’t be happening, players having hissy fits ON THE PITCH about it is all a bit stupid as well, fair enough have a moan when the game is over or in the press but he is hardly the first player to kop shit from fans is he.

Pathetic of the fans to do this but equally pathetic of the player to react as he has, deserves the card which has now resulted in a ban.

Re: Sulley Muntari
Yet UEFA won't punish Italy for the continued racist abuse in grounds, can guarantee if it was happening here there would be calls for the national side to be banned from euro competition and PL sides banned till the FA had it under control.

Ron, 40 years have past since Cyril and the like and it's still going on all over Europe, i think you can say black players have played on enough and that tact is not working.

Yeah, the Italian authorities are really known for that.

Re: Sulley Muntari
Get on with the game, and let the authorities do their job, perhaps?

Should Cyril Regis, Brendon Batson and Laurie Cunningham have walked off the pitch when a salvo of bananas were lobbed in their direction from the Chicken Run?
I think the implication there was that black people look like apes. That trio managed to hold back the tears. In fact, if I recall correctly, at least one of them had a bit of a laugh.

I think Ronald reckons he should wear one of his TIN FOIL hats to zone out all the negative vibes coming from the stands.
Probably orchestrated by the CIA

What are you saying then antsy, as it certainly seems you're saying he should just ignore it

A. No.

So let me get this straight Ronald, you think they should just be allowed to carry on with their racist chanting?
