Re: Penalty Shootouts to change.
Every outfield player takes a penalty with both teams taking theirs simultaneously at each end decided by a coin flip, first team to take all their penalties gets an extra goal.

TWITTER decides who wins if it is still level after that.

I like the idea that all XI take a penalty that are there end of ET inc the goalkeeper. If you are down to ten men then tough.

Cheers Egg - I've never seen that.

Would defo move it back to centre spot, and make all 11 players take one. maybe not 30 secs though. 10 would be enough

Ball on centre circle and kicker has 30 seconds to get it in the net.

I reckon, if it goes to extra time, each team should take a player off every 10 mins.
Then the same for first goal sudden death.

That's my point - that's why it's done in tennis, no need in football

'you can't let the person who serves first have two service points or theyd be at a major advantage.'

They don't. Service changes after the first point and then every second point thereafter.

Re: Penalty Shootouts to change.
Think it's a bit pointless really, they'll always be players taking penalties under more pressure than the guy before however you look at it - if the first guy misses, the next person is under less pressure and his team could go 2 up so how is that fair on the 4th kicker?!

Regardless, the comparison with tennis is utter nonsense - the reason it's done there is that it's a first to 7 scenario where there has to be a 2 point lead so you can't let the person who serves first have two service points or theyd be at a major advantage.

I like it because it has a picture of one of my favourite John Terry moments.
