Re: The Vodafone Stadium ( apologies if done )
It's amazing isn't it how the idiots who blow smoke up the Dave's (sic) lying ringers are generally oblivious to the FACT these stupid cunts have signed us to a deal that in terms of naming rights puts us at a disadvantage to our peers.

That's before you factor in losing a lot of catering revenue to the landlords too, which other clubs obviously don't.

Fucking idiots.

Sven Roeder 10:15 Tue May 16
Re: The Vodafone Stadium ( apologies if done )
So the deal has to be £10.25m per year for us to get the maximum (MAXIMUM) of £2.5m
The Vodafone deal was £20m in total over 6 years I thought so it's appeal is miles away from making us anywhere near that
And even that isn't even a Gokhan Tore loan fee

I'm happy, thought it sounded terrible.

Much prefer the giff gaff.

Nice ring about it.

No reason now Sim-only Zaza is engaged elsewhere.

(Apologies if that doesn't get a good reception.)

Re: The Vodafone Stadium ( apologies if done )
So over £10m a year naming rights to get that??

Not gonna happen is it...

Gavros 6:04 Tue May 16
Re: The Vodafone Stadium ( apologies if done )
the deal is 40% of naming rights above £4 mil to a maximum of £2.5 mil. So maximum of £2.5 mil = 1/4 of a Robert Snodgrass.

Johnson 5:38 Tue May 16
Re: The Vodafone Stadium ( apologies if done )
I suggest you stop daydreaming and re-read the terms of the contract Scott.

Naming rights are NOT worth a lot of money to us.

Blimey they would NOT likfe that...

BTW It seems to have gone quiet from them. Have they given up?

Re: The Vodafone Stadium ( apologies if done )
West Ham get a % of naming rights over £4m per year I think?

Something like 50%. So potentially allot of money.

But £0.00 without an actual sponsor.

That would be a great idea actually. Can just see tigers being released from cages deep under the pitch jumping on an opponents strikers back just as he was about to score!! Might make our players run about a bit and after each match Blic's job is settled but the thumbs up or thumbs down of the baying mob in the stands!!!

Gavros 2:32 Tue May 16
Re: The Vodafone Stadium ( apologies if done )
"what happens if the company running the stadium goes bust? Do we have any step in rights?"

According to the contract, we can actually take on ownership of the stadium for free. Its something the Charlton mob were baying about/

Re: The Vodafone Stadium ( apologies if done )
Serious question, what with the overspend on the conversion, the failure to secure a naming partner and the spirallling cost of running the ground, what happens if the company running the stadium goes bust? Do we have any step in rights?

Chopper Toshack 1:23 Tue May 16
Re: The Vodafone Stadium ( apologies if done )
Its the Stadium Owners, not West Ham, that lose out with this happening.

The cynics among you might say that this situation has been engineered to give a further reason for the Government to shift the thing by selling it to West Ham.

Location, location, location.
