WHO Poll
Q: Manuel Pellegrini
a. A great signing for the Club and maybe the change of direction we all need
b. It will only be a great signing if the Board back him with decent funds
c. This is West Ham so it will only end in farce
d. I'm not sure about this one, I'll wait until SKY is back to hear what Gary Neville thinks, then I'll voice my opinion

Sounds like he wants out? Been here 4 years doesnt want to just play to stay in the premier league. Good luck with that.

Adrian wants assurances about both his role and the project of the club ahead of the 2017-2018 campaign.

"At the moment I want to rest, forget a little bit about everything and enjoy the family. I have to sit down with the club to see what they want from me ahead of next season," Adrian added. "I want to know the intentions of the club about me and see their project. We must fight for higher targets and not just for staying in the Premier League. This is my fourth season here and I want to fight for something else."

Everton were linked with Adrian in January and he suggests that there are still some clubs from both the Premier League and Liga monitoring the situation.

"There has been a lot of interest from several teams in Spain and some in the Premier League but I was focused on trying to recover the number one and help the team. At the end of the season, we will sit down, talk and make the best decision," Adrian admitted.

"If something interesting [comes from Spain] I would talk to the club about it but the option to renew my two years belongs to the club. We have to sit down, talk and reach an agreement. Anyway, I am very settled [in England] and very happy in the Premier [League]. This is my fourth year here, I'm fluent in the language and my family is happy here. "

I like Vorm. Not sure Spurs will sell him to us mind.

Re: Adrian
Pickford made an absolute howler the other week. I think people are going a bit overboard with the lad, I mean he's no doubt been their best player, but he's had enough chances to shine as their goal has been peppered all season.

With goalkeepers, you just want someone who does all the basics well and makes no rickets. We don't need to be spending £30mil.

Re: Adrian
What he's actually saying is he wants the club to show more ambition than just avoiding relegation. I like that. If others at the club had his attitude we may have shown a bit more endeavour and fight this season

Regardless I'd be all out for Pickford - imagine if he'd played all season instead, the mistakes both randolpha nD Adrian made cost us a lot of points

£565k for Parkes

Re: Adrian
Way above Randolph but not World Class

BOTH Ferguson and Parkes we broke the world record Transfer fee for a GK cannot see us getting that for Adrian in today's game.

Re: Adrian
Wasn't Parkes the most expensive British keeper when we bought him?

Pickford's transfer is up to him. Will probably think he is close to the England squad so cant see him wanting to play in the Championship.
Presume Sunderland will get the pressure we did when we tried to ruin Scott Parker's life by imagining he would fulfil his contract.
Can see him going for about £20m once he says he wants to go.

Sorry Justin, Adrian is not and never will be a Great keeper. He is just one of many run of the mill stoppers.

Re: Adrian
I'd keep Adrian as our number one, replace Randolph with Ruddy,
Job done.

Adrian a great keeper

Re: Adrian
Moyes has just mentioned he wants £30m for Pickford, which would make him the worlds second most expensive GOALTENDER behind Buffon.

Good luck with that.

Re: Adrian
So what happens now?
Adrian to stay no.1?
Randolph to be replaced by Stockdale or Ruddy?
Spiegel to get a long deserved heave-ho?

End result: we still have a crap goalkeeper.

Well done Sullivan, you tight fisted porn distributor.

Re: Adrian
I cannot fault a player for wanting his club to have ambition. Apart from Liverpool where just about all 10 men in front of him gave up, our defence has been night and day better since Randolph was benched. The best keeper we've had in a decade. We have enough critical-need areas. I don't know why we would want to create another in goal.

Fifth Column 3:58 Fri May 19
Re: Adrian
No bigger club than us will want him.

He's a decent reserve. We need a top keeper if we want to get better though.

Admittedly he's better than the abject shit keeper that is Darren Randolph.

Re: Adrian
It sounds like the opposite of him wanting out.

Why are people so sensitive about what players say? Reeks of insecurity.

MrSnoogans 3:02 Fri May 19
Re: Adrian
He has only made one mistake all year, and we didnt even lose because of it. Randolph made mistake after mistake costing point after point. Adrian should be our number one for a long time, Joe Hart isnt an upgrade based on the money he will probably cost. Joe Hart is a error factory.

He wasn't Hammer of the Year Runner Up two years on the trot for nothing.

Re: Adrian
Absolutely ZERO wrong with what he has said

60,000 West Ham fans every other week want to know what our effing ambitions are as well.

Club with nil direction currently

So it has been activated now? All seems a bit confused to me. Has anyone told the player?

tell him he's most definitely ahead of McRandolph in the pecking order.

Job done.

Re: Adrian
"Confirmation then that the two year option hasn't been activated"

Good one, V.

"Slaven Bilic has confirmed that West Ham United have activated a two-year option in Adrian’s contract."

Alex V 2:33 Fri May 19
Re: Adrian
Confirmation then that the two year option hasn't been activated - if there wasn't a question mark about him they would have done it already. The club are being a bit sneaky here really - they want to sell him for money despite not actually having extended his contract yet.
