Fegs to Galatasaray?
Lots of Turks claiming it's a done deal at €4.5m

Re: Fegs to Galatasaray?
He is a skillful player with little end product and not right for the Premier League.

HAVING SAID THIS... I have no faith we'll replace him with anyone better so for that reason I would be concerned about selling him... only to bring in someone on loan from the Mexican second division.

Deadful decision to sell a player who was showing definite signs of improving.
Clueless Billic worries me as much as the two wankers supposedly running the club

Re: Fegs to Galatasaray?
On Spurs, they generally run the most efficient transfer strategy. They're already £25m in profit this Summer!!! Of course every club will lose money on some players, gain on others. You can't buy and sell players without an element of risk. You could argue Spurs have made some dreadful signings (Sissoko, Soldado) with justification, but the good far outweighs the bad.

All this is why I still say Feghouli and Nordtveit, while failures at the club, were still good signings at their age and price. This sort of simple logic seems completely alien to many supporters (and pundits), but generally offers the best blueprint for the club to be self-sufficient and make progress in the long-term. The risk of failure was mitigated with the relatively low cost of bringing them in (though there were clearly high signing on fees etc). We stand to make a headline profit on both of them despite our badly run squad management and selling policy - that's generally good news.

Spurs also spent £30m on Sissoko and £17m on Vincent Jansssennnn. Couple of losses coming up there too.

Re: Fegs to Galatasaray?
Mind you, perhaps they are going play Ayew in his proper position in which case you could argue that he is the Feghouli replacement?

Re: Fegs to Galatasaray?
Rather keep him and sell Snoddy. Fegs has a hanit of being in the right place to nick a goal, 4 I think he got whereas Snodgrass never came close.
F is also younger, faster and given a good season that 4 mil fee can easily double. Snodgrass needs a team with pace to cover fot his lack of it, not seen his deadball specialism at its best but don't think in a decent side he'll shine too much.7 mil plus to newly promoted side or championship side - snap it up

Re: Fegs to Galatasaray?
Depends on our transfer budget... if we only get 4m for him then it's going to cost double that to get someone decent in.

Only worth getting rid if we are going to replace with better. Unless we have decent wedge for a replacement then we are better off keeping him as he hasn't been completely shit!

Players tend to not improve at West Ham. Has to be taken into consideration.

Re: Fegs to Galatasaray?
How good was Mahrez in his first season at Leicester? We could get to see the Feghouli that was doing well at Valencia?

He made the effort for me to try and get over his bad form and he's a winger that needs to work off a decent front line.

Can't judge wingers when the strikers are so shit or non existent, bit like judging fullbacks with no keeper to get them out the shit from time to time.

'He should be given a chance to prove himself'

He has had a year to do that. Not sure why people think he will come back after the summer and vastly improve. He is meant to be in his prime.....what we have now is what you get. Any fee for him should be taken - added to the Valencia cash and look at some prem widemen. Gray, Miralles and Redmond would be top of my list.

Re: Fegs to Galatasaray?
Trundle, and you've just totally dismissed his circumstances coming to a club/team in disarray and not any of that team performing 'well' and also in the main without being able to supply a decent striker who makes the effort to stretch defences and be a presence.

Even Antonio looked lost when he attacked to find he was there on his lonesome surrounded by the opposition.

Re: Fegs to Galatasaray?
Spurs lost:

7.2m on Paulinho

14m on Soldado

2.6m on Capoue

4m on Chiriches

Lamela worth nowhere near 30m

apart from them....

As a general principle. Snodgrass / Fonte / Carroll / Ayew / Valencia

All worth a fraction of their original price

Not very often you see that happening at Spurs. But then they've got a proper chairman.

Re: Fegs to Galatasaray?
We need squad players. We cannot have a team of world beatings. Players Feg and Snodgrass should be given the opportunity to prove themselves.

Re: Fegs to Galatasaray?
Dunno how you can compare this with Reid joining.

Reid joined at 22 years old, from a Danish team 90% on here couldn't name, let alone spell correctly. And when he did play for us he was played out of position.

Feghouli joined us in his prime, from a big team in a big league, and was played in his correct position.

He hasn't looked promising, and if we're able to make any kind of profit on him, then it should be seriously considered.

The very same people would have had Reid offloaded after his first season........

Re: Fegs to Galatasaray?
The people on here saying Feghouli is 'useless' are the same culprits who moan every season about our lack of quality signings. Are west ham fans the most deluded in the country? We are certainly up there!

He was/is a good squad player. Nothing amazing but alot more than useless.

This is ingenious leadership.

Buy high, sell low. The sure fire way to complete financial meltdown.
