Just read that we have given £4 million to North Korea!

Can someone expect explain to me what appears to be a disgusting, scandalous waste of British taxpayers hard earned money with this Foreign Aid bullshit?

If that was aimed at me vexed, then I'm curious as to how you came to the conclusion I voted for Brexit

when they got a load of rice off the UN in the 1990s when the population was starving, it all went to feeding the military.

4 million, that should pay for the next rhetoric threat to the US.
I think Trump is the only president who would stand up to Kim (whatever the fuck he is called) and go to war if need be.
It's about time these threats were treated as such.
War would be disastrous of course but everyone pussy foots around these slint eye cunts and I'm sure china putting their bit in will retreat once the us turns chinese goods away in protest of their stance with the North.

Oh so you Brexit spastics care about economics now do you? Surely for you lot it doesn't matter as long as the pile of cash was draped in a union jack?

Yeah we still give to India, despite it having the fourth largest military in the world!
How the fuck is that still happening?

£13bn a year, thanks to David Cameron's act of parliament making it illegal for the country to spend less than 0.7% of GDP on aid.

The money is stolen, wasted and spent on weapons. It kills far more people than it saves.

GB PLC needs clients to buys its arms. Those clients need money. GB PLC can tax its workers for that money and give it away. And round and round it goes.

If you question it you don't care about people starving in other countries and you are heartless

You'd have thought they'd have found a cure by now?

Re: Foreign Aid
It's pretty clear that virtually all UK foreign "aid" is not altruistic as such, but a bribe, buying influence, greasing palms, self-serving, protecting interests, and so forth.

4mil to get a few spys into N.K. is money well spent I reckon.

Re: Foreign Aid
The idea of it is what's always been called "soft power" i.e. influencing regimes indirectly. It's gone on for centuries.

Whether it works in this case is another matter.
