I use NOD32 on all my devices, laptop, desktop and phone, been using it for over 10 years, never had a problem, runs quietly in the background, updates itself and you configure it pretty simply to open banking etc with extra protection.

Another vote for AVG Free. Also once a month do a scan with Malwarebytes and Spybot

Always used AVG free never had a problem.... SpyBot for an occasional clean up...
