Kidderminster H v West Ham: FA Cup Round 5, 1994
I know I haven't posted on here for a while but thought some of you might remember this?

I live in the area now and was looking for highlights for a while but then stumbled across this while watching other West Ham videos. I'd never seen any footage from this match before.

I was only a kid at the time and didn't go but remember the result and the Cup run, mainly due to this match and the hype surrounding it (Kiddy were the last non-league team before Lincoln's exploits, to reach Rd 5) but also because of the QF against Luton and being gutted after we got edged out.

Grumpster,

I was in that queue right where the bloke pulled the knife out and then saw the other books smash him in the nose.
I'd been to the away game that day and jumped straight off coach into the queue.
I managed to get a ticket for Kidderminster in the scaffolding stand with the seats set up outside the stadium, Tony Gale was up there with his kid.

West ham being the awfully run cunts they are, put tickets on sale the day after man city away, so with a small allocation, it meant all of us who were at that game having to race back down the M6 to get to the ground and then do an all nighter outside to get a ticket with the small amount available.

Some plum called barry was already there, pissed out of his head and threatening people with a knife before scobie broke his nose :o)

Silly sod then duly stabbed several times at reading in a friendly by Chelsea fans.

As for the kiddies game, can't remember any of it other than winning with a chappers goal!

I was there and as someone mentioned the bbc were practically salivating over a cup upset so it was nice it wasn't us for a change. Quite a bit of trouble before and after if my memory serves me correctly think it was wolves fans though rather than harriers fans, west ham boy got a pool cue over his head I seem too recall

I remember the game as I went to the beam back. Agree with all the comments, sh!te game and a stone wall penalty to them not given. For the quarter final with Luton I remember being off work sick at the time with some unknown bug and watched the game and was gutted as usual to go out in that manner. The worse thing was though that the next day I was watching the morning TV (can't remember the show) but it opened with Nick Owen in the Mastermind chair answering questions about the cup tie like Who did Luton play, who won, who scored a hattrick etc. Whole programme he was just grinning from ear to ear. Couldn't blame him but did not really help my mood. Could have switched off but for some reason I didn't. Great fun when West Ham giant kill but not so good when the shoe is on the other foot.

Still got my ticket for this somewhere. Will try and find it and scan it in and upload it.

I was 21 years old, went with a few mates and picked up another mate in Coventry en route to the game.

I remember needing a piss and just pissing on the terrace whilst holding my ciggie!

Lunched and drank in Bewdley before catching the old steam loco which had been specially laid on to Kidderminster for the game, which was totally forgettable. Hard to tell which the div 1 team was.

Bish Bosh was a lovely player wasn't he? He'd walk in to today's team (never willingly breaking in to a trot obviously).

I went to the beam back. Almost counted as a cup shock as we were universally expected to lose!

BBC were DESPERATE for an upset that day. The hope was almost visibly seeping from every presenter's pores. I think they interviewed every resident of the town in the build-up, including a train.
