An alternative view from the opposition: 10 Questions for a Man Utd & Livingston Fan
I won't have time to do this very often, but if appreciated I'll see what I can do at various points during the season.

With that said and with less than a week to go until the season begins, I think it's time for us to look to the season opener: Man Utd (a)

So here is a fairly irrelevant & alternative view from the opposition:

Q1) You freely admit you are a staunch supporter of Livingstone FC and have done for years, yet 5 years ago you were wearing a Man Utd shirt while having a beer with me in a pub in New Zealand...there can only be three reasons for this, one: glory hunter. two: cunt. 3: family problems. Which one is it?

A) Haha well the family is all good so it must be number one. Which automatically makes me number two as well doesn't it?

2) Robert Snodgrass: not many know he came through the Livingstone ranks...is there an issue with your youth coaches? do you actually have any?

A) Ahhh Snoddy our greatest youth export. Ever since he rattled one into the top corner against Dunfermline as a 17 year old I knew he was destined for greatness...until we had to loan him to Stirling Albion for being too partial to pringles sandwiches.

Must be an issue with our youth coaches - just ask your shiny new Head n Shoulders keeper what he thought of our second youth product, still stretching for those free kicks at Hampden aint he?

3) Robert Snodgrass: as you created him...is he worth £10.6m? If so, how would you get the best out of him?

A) Of course he's worth £10.6 million! Mind you £10.6miliion in the EPL is nowt these days. He's never looked the same since he did his knee in as Scotland fans will likely agree. I wouldn't worry too much - he will be out on loan to Celtic come January. A legend at Leeds, Hero at Hull, hated by the Hammers.

4) Back to the subject of Man Utd: do you like Mourinho? Is he the one to lead you back to the title?

A) Nah never liked Mourinho. Think he will come up short and be bumped on after three seasons as per. Bring back Moyesy

5) Are there any West Ham players that you think would improve the Man Utd first 11?

A) I like the cut of your man Antonio's swagger, always a soft spot for the non league roamer. And that Lanzini can fair strike a free kick. Shame you don't have Savio Nsereko anymore...

6) Has the decline of Man Utd and the recent success of Livingstone made you realise that you probably are a bit of a glory hunting cunt?

A) Absolutely - in fact Livingston have won 6 league titles, a league cup, a Petrofac Training Cup and had one memorable night in Europe against Sturm Graz in the 22 years since being formed. This has been countered by two administrations, two relegations and two league demotions and we now can't pay more our players more than £450 a week.

Imagine that - you boys pay Snoddy that amount just to smash a free kick into Row Q of that shiny new stadium you play in.

7) Could any manager have stepped in after Ferguson or was Man Utd always destined for a 5-10 recovery period where they lost certain fans to teams like Livingston FC and Linfield FC?

A) I have heard that prawn sandwich orders have gone up significantly across grounds in the Midlands, parts of London and the whole of Scotland since 2013.

8) It's 2027 - how do you remember Paul Pogba?

A) Did his brother not used to play for Partick Thistle?

9) As a Livingston fan, how many grounds have you visited and where is the worst / best?

A) 32/42 league grounds up here;

Best - Borough Briggs (Elgin City) - standing shed, local bookies in the ground, pie's for a £1 and a 6-1 victory.
Tynecastle (Hearts) - Cracking view and atmosphere from all sections, right on my doorstop and a load of decent boozers en route.

Worst - Honourable mentions to Dens Park (Dundee) cos we all hate Dundee - but the new St Mirren stadium is proper rubbish. Many would say our own Tony Macaroni Arena is not much better but at least we have corners!

10) Predictions for West Ham / Man Utd / Livingstone this season?

A) Hammers - Bilic out by October (I'm reliably informed) and an Alan Pardew inspired recovery to the dizzying heights of 9th place. Likely to spend January battling with Stoke City for who can pay more for the most average player.

Man Utd - Out of Europe in February and shunted into 2nd by City. Mourinho publicly lambasting Lukaku on a daily basis for not trying hard enough the most interesting aspect of his football.

Livi - Would have taken 8th and survival but the return of 39 year old Neil Alexander in the sticks and topping our league cup group has raised expectations. 6th place and our best finish for a decade with an away payday in the cup would be tip top.

Bonus Q11) Who is your favourite Man Utd player of the Premier League era and why?

A) Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - the archetypal glory hunting fan's player. Came off the bench, scored, did little else and claimed the glory. Plastic fantastic.

Big thanks to Mitch the fake Jock for answering - all the best to Livingstone for the coming season mate!
