Bilic Board meeting determines he's the man
Before this gets locked how is it unreasonable to have, on a West Ham forum a discussion about the manager in charge when we have many, many threads about players who are contracted to us. There will always be fans for and fans against an individual and a forum is a place to air those opinions, whether positive or negative, it is the very nature of a forum. The fact it was locked was poor form in my opinion.

Whilst it will be easy for some posters to say "all this after 1 loss to Man U" they are forgetting the percentage of fans that have been saying Bilic is not up to the job midway through last season, nothing has changed.

We now have the players but whilst we have that incompetent friendly friendly chap at the helm we will do well to finish 12th this season.

Make sure you make a note of this as anything better if he is in charge come the end of the season will be an absolute miracle, he is out of his depth, clueless tactically and should of been replaced in the summer.

I said it 4 months ago and I will say it again, the biggest mistake we will of made in the summer was not replacing Bilic.

Now if people have different view and opinions that is perfectly normal and I would hope this is something that is able to be discussed on a West Ham forum.

Re: Bilic Board meeting determines he's the man
The are players who don't like Bilic and I can hardly see them busting a gut for him to keep his job if he's only got two games. It will be more of the same until he's finally gone.

Re: Bilic Board meeting determines he's the man
Just heard from a source who is connected to one of the club insiders that....

Noble has had to do the last TWO team talks post match in the absence of Billic.

Make what you will of that bit of gossip, but doesn't bode well IMHO

Re: Bilic Board meeting determines he's the man
If the board has determined that then it would be absolutely clear they don't give a damn about the fans. They are as clueless as the manager.

With few exceptions the lot on the pitch Friday evening offered nothing, no passion, drive or skill. It is difficult to believe they give a toss about the manager.

Being the eternal optimist I hope, like a few others, that they are using the next ten days to identify and secure the services of a decent manager. The sooner they do that the better not simply because we are crap but also because the likes of Stoke and Everton may shortly be joining Leicester in seeking the same.

When they failed to sack Grant, they had sacked his predecessor Zola rather than backing him when there were clear signs he'd steadied the ship.

They are truly dreadful, the Daves.

Last time they gambled because they wanted to save a couple of million in sacking a manager it cost us our place in the premiership. Nice one Dave's!!

Re: Bilic Board meeting determines he's the man
hes not gone because they'll be no cunt wanting to work for those cunts at the helm
those wankers are the root cause of our problem

Re: Bilic Board meeting determines he's the man
The whole club is a concern. Indecisive owners, clueless manager and an unfit squad mentally and physically with a poor attitude.

Ricr, Noble, Hart and Zabaleta are criticism free, because whether you think they have the ability or not, they try.

Final proof if it was ever needed that we will never ever progress with the current board

We can only hope that someone big comes along & makes them an offer they can't refuse

Re: Bilic Board meeting determines he's the man
So we fluke a result against the 4x2's yet we lose against Palace

What then ?, 2 more games ?

It's a total pathetic rationale

Should have sacked the idiot last May

I agree Sydney.

Normannomates, I think he does not walk because that would be giving up and Bilic is not a quiter. He will try and get our squad to win every game with a team set up to attack until he is sacked or his contract ends.

Agreed on the philosophy. I'm too young for the Greenwood years but literally grew up watching the John Lyall teams and was devastated when he left because despite relegation at the end he stuck to his beliefs and there was some fabulous football at times. I certainly don't remember the vitriol towards him at the end but for starters we didn't have social media and sites like this to vent frustrations.

Certainly Greenwood, Lyall, Bonds and Redknapp had some nightmares but I think they all tried to play a certain way and that first season under Bilic was the closest I can remember to that style of football. Maybe Payet glossed over the frailties in the side but Slaven just seems to have totally lost it and as you say he is just jumping from one idea to another with no real plan.

I said earlier that's my issue with the players brought in over the last two years, it's just been bringing in willy nilly rather than bringing players in to play a certain way or fit into some long term plan.

Monday morning.....23/10/2017

Dear Board,

I won't be turning up for work today. When I feel better I'll call you.

May be a month or so.

Cheers

Slav.

Re: Bilic Board meeting determines he's the man
Looks to me He's being kept on while we find a good replacement. Any of the following in order.

Ancelotti....... A dream I know.
Pellegrini..... No chance
Mancini........ Little to no chance

More likely to get.

Moyes, Pards or BFS would be hard to swallow.
Wagner, Ranieri and Hughton would spell disaster.

Howe, probably the most likely although I'd prefer Wyche.

Then there's Nigel Pearson although he's just as mental as DiCanio...

Re: Bilic Board meeting determines he's the man
it was horrible watching the analysis on motd2 where they highlighted a lot of players playing with very little urgency. the stat Chapman come out with about ground covered was also enlightening. the team is clearly taking the piss out of bilic and he has no idea how to sort it out. what someone said the other day was great if it was impossible in regard to sacking some of the lazy cunts but sadly we're stuck with a squad who are coasting towards relegation, and a manager who seems to have given up

Re: Bilic Board meeting determines he's the man
My gut feeling is Bilic has been undermined from the start by Sullivan.
The squad are divided..and that's a recipe for disaster.
And fucked off..the body language on Friday by so many of them told a story.
I know one thing for certain...Bilic isn't still in charge through the owners belief in not sacking managers.

It's hard for me..because i truly believe a manager needs a good few yrs to put across and implement his philosophy on a club..but even if results aren't great..you can still see some sort of philosophy there..in our days..we had that..and put up with the average seasons..because we played a certain way and we're proud of that.

Re: Bilic Board meeting determines he's the man
I dont know why he hasn't walked norm, maybe he got talked out of it, maybe they said they have no replacement so hes hanging in there, maybe he still feels he can turn it around.

But i would lay odds on he isn't doing it to get a pay off.

NOrm

Professional pride and the two million quid he would lose by walking I imagine

Re: Bilic Board meeting determines he's the man
we've been absolute dog shit since april2016. 2.5 Goals a game conceded- maybe had four good games and a couple of decent half's - the rest has been football thats predicatable; humiliating drubbings - we've spent tens and tens of millions on players that have come here and turned to absolute dog shit.

How on earth do we give this man another two games?

This club is so fucked from top to bottom we will make Leeds look like a walk in the park- at least they had champions league- what did we get? Losing to astra fucking gogo .!?

I fucking despair!

Why doesn't he just walk then Syd?

Re: Bilic Board meeting determines he's the man
fucking hell, i as much as anyone think Bilic has had enoguh time and not delivered so should be replaced but FFS, some of the reasons some on here think the board want him to stay are Bizarre and deluded to say the least.

And those who think Bilic himself is angling for a pay off and will somehow not give a fuck really haven't been following West Ham very well or very long, give the bloke some credit, he may not be up to it but his commitment and effort seem commendable at least, and add in the rumor he offered to walk just make you look like knicker wetting cunts.
