Bilic
Before this gets locked how is it unreasonable to have, on a West Ham forum a discussion about the manager in charge when we have many, many threads about players who are contracted to us. There will always be fans for and fans against an individual and a forum is a place to air those opinions, whether positive or negative, it is the very nature of a forum. The fact it was locked was poor form in my opinion.

Whilst it will be easy for some posters to say "all this after 1 loss to Man U" they are forgetting the percentage of fans that have been saying Bilic is not up to the job midway through last season, nothing has changed.

We now have the players but whilst we have that incompetent friendly friendly chap at the helm we will do well to finish 12th this season.

Make sure you make a note of this as anything better if he is in charge come the end of the season will be an absolute miracle, he is out of his depth, clueless tactically and should of been replaced in the summer.

I said it 4 months ago and I will say it again, the biggest mistake we will of made in the summer was not replacing Bilic.

Now if people have different view and opinions that is perfectly normal and I would hope this is something that is able to be discussed on a West Ham forum.

Fucking hell. You chant the managers name at a game and apparently you are only a 'so called' fan.

Now that is some of the most skewed logic I have EVER seen.

Yeah, that is a given, same as Everton's dip in form since the loss of Lukaku. Still feels like there is more to it than that though, as even without Payet through injury in our first season we still looked sturdy, and a decent outfit.

'These "fans" who chant his name will further prolongue any action being taken. The sooner he is gone the quicker things can start to improve'

you seem the sort of divvy that PRAYS we lose so he gets sacked. Then log on here and say 'TOLD YOU SO'.

'The sooner he is gone the quicker things can start to improve'

It's not really 'improved' in the last 25 years so no idea why you think we're anything more than a mid table club.

Profile function does wonders. You obviously cared enough to go through my posting times so thanks for that.

Guessing you would be one of those signing his name? Could you tell me one quality he has other than being nice or his first (Payet) season?

"Because while we often play 2 central midfielders, the opposition often plays 3."

So if I follow your logic all we have to do is play 4 in central midfield and we win?

Wow, never knew this football manager lark was so easy. It's like painting by numbers.

if we had kept 11 on the field I think we would have got 3 points

I was there Saturday

You were there – but posted on this thread at half time, and then halfway through the second half? A thread that no one had posted on for two weeks so would have had to search back a few pages for it?

Either bullshit, or a very sad, lonely, pathetic individual who needs to take a long hard look at their life.

Re: Bilic
I honestly can't see what Bilic offers us. Three years in and I don't think he has a clue what he is trying to create here. Our squad is a mess of high profile individuals on high wages that can often play like they have never trained together. Our football for the most part over a year and a half has been absolutely atrocious. This season already feels as dead as the last.

I cannot believe how we have become such a fucking pony nothing club under him, considering the fantastic first season he had. It can't have been just a fluke?

CARROLL should not be near that starting line up based on form this season and unreliability since joining
I read bilic looking to fine him, not sure that will happen unless Arnie did for Soton?

" we'd usually expect 3 points by just turning up."

What, against a side who would have been 8th even if we'd beaten them?

Are we "usually" like Man City are at the moment?

Re: Bilic
I'm not worried about Friday as I feel we will win now that the decision to include Carroll from the off has been taken out of Slav's hands.

Obviously without any other weird decisions from him that could jeopardise the outcome like including Ayew or Noble in the starting line up. Sakho should be straight swap for Andy, which he has been forced into again, which should of been the 11 Saturday. Once again he is too late to make the correct decision.

Re: Bilic
Its quite sad then when you look to the left at the WHO poll a majority of people called Burnley a tough fixture, we'd usually expect 3 points by just turning up. That is how bad we have got and to also call the Brighton fixture, at home, another tough one is just one of many reasons why Bilic needs to be sacked long before the end of this season.

Re: Bilic
Singing his praises will only keep him in the role further as the owners will view that as us happy with what is being produced.

Obviously what is being produced is dog shit and we have won something like 1 league game away from home since February.

These "fans" who chant his name will further prolongue any action being taken. The sooner he is gone the quicker things can start to improve.

Hope that clears it up.

'but I do not understand these "fans" who sing about bilic, how they can then also want the club to do well and win?'

Assuming you're talking about the 'Super Slav' chant then this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Re: Bilic
I quite like Lanzini out wide. I don't think we were doing that well against Burnley - we were gifted a goal and then battled decently with 10 men against a limited attacking side. The last 14 months there has definitely been a pattern - against defensive sides who don't (or can't) put pressure on us we're okay, the rest is a struggle. Games against Brighton and Burnley are key to keeping us up, but I've seen nothing yet to suggest that we will improve against the better sides. We desperately need a win against Brighton because after that I think it's going to be a very difficult slog for us up to Christmas.

Yes that is one major reason. And then there has been the technical quality (passing/control) fitness and pace issue of the midfield selections. The technical quality would tend to count more when we face the better (hence better technical players) sides.

Most fans on this site and other sites have been banging on about this for years ( I have bored most about it). The central midfield and especially the defensive or holding roles in front of the back four are arguably much more important in the modern game as many teams like to use a counter attacking tactic and play a pressing ( gegenpress etc) game which can leave the back four ( especially) exposed. We have been caught so many times and not tracked the runners from midfield.

Bilic got the Chico substitution wrong simply because even a blind man could see Antonio was blowing out of his proverbial ar*e after being out or injured for the last few games. But he got the Obiang sub for Arnautovic right. We looked as solid as I can remember in midfield second half with Obiang and Kouyate supplemented by the out ball and ability to retain the possession from Lanzini, Antonio. Hernandez. With 11 men we were having a lot of success keeping the ball and opeing them up.

Real test for Bilic Friday. Selection wise especially. And now the question is wide left midfield. Does he jettison one of Lanzini, Obiang or Kouyate to accommodate Arnautovic? Alternatively, does he move Lanzini out wide left ( you would hope not), does he play Sakho and Chico up top? If so, this left side is the problem to solve?

I suspect he will jettison Obiang as he usually does to allow Arnautovic wide left and Sakho up front. I wouldn't but I am a senile old man who does not get paid millions to get these things right :-)

Re: Bilic
Just because you are an "away fan" does not mean we are all the same and should not receive criticism.

I was there Saturday and when "fans" started signing about bilic fans around me were actually looking at eachother in disbelief. We truly do have some embarrasing fans, but that doesn't mean we all are.

You have clueless fans at home, and away, just because you travel it doesn't change that fact.

I always get behind the TEAM 100% in getting a victory but I do not understand these "fans" who sing about bilic, how they can then also want the club to do well and win?

Yes he is here currently, but the moment he goes is the moment we can achieve much more with the squad we have, the longer he stays the longer this season will be wasted and we risk the chances of losing a number of our players in January, Chicharito for one.

I actually had a chat with a couple of people who are in favour of bilic and the only reason they came up with was that he's a nice guy and his (Payet) first season was good.

They also agreed with the fact he does field the wrong 11, makes wrong subs, lack of fitness etc.

Nobody could name one quality he has other than being nice and he had one of the best players in the world on form for a season.
