Re: Cresswell and Hart called up..
I dont mind Stones

Yes he can defend better but he is very good on the ball and strong in the air

Still only 23, when he is 27,28 he could be world class

I don't think the squad it that bad. Sure, it's hardly filled with greats but neither were Greece or Portugal when they won the Euros recently.

I have zero faith in the manager or his tactics though.

Re: Cresswell and Hart called up..
Are there still people who follow the international game that still think England, withwhatis on show here, can win a tournament? As soon as they are put up againsgt a real side they crumble. Technically nowhere near good enough.

England (not West Ham) won the WC in 66' at home with hardly any teams

Should have won Italia 90 and Euro 96 - they wre decent squads but fell short

Since around 98' (France WC) the national side has been absolute dogshit. Pretending they care, they don't - clubs and money rule now.

England WILL NEVER win a tournament unless DRASTIC changes in playing staff, management, training etc are changed and the FA stop living in the past

Re: Cresswell and Hart called up..
Stones is as average as they come.

Oooo look he can pass a ball out of defence 10 yards.

Shame he can't defend to save his life.

Re: Cresswell and Hart called up..
Yeah exactly

At the moment id say we have four top players

Kane, Alli, Walker and Stones

The rest either are average comapred to the worlds best or dont play for their clubs

Re: Cresswell and Hart called up..
1) Get drawn in shit group
2) Play games home and away
3) Win most of the games and finish top
4) Excitement over next major tournament
5) Play half decent team in tournament
6) Lose
7) Go home
8) Repeat

Aaron Cresswell being called up for England tells you all you need to know about the state of our national team...

How many regular Premier league starters AREN'T there?

Inc. Cresswell on recent form

Re: Cresswell and Hart called up..
Ross also

This list is worryingly meh

Midfielders: Eric Dier, Nathaniel Chalobah, Jake Livermore, Jordan Henderson, Raheem Sterling, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Dele Alli, Jesse Lingard

Is that the least exciting England midfield since carlton palmer was in the squad?

Rossal 4:25 Thu Aug 24
Re: Cresswell and Hart called up..
Antonio should be in

Maguire, Livermore, Lingard, Defoe and Heaton should not be there

Stones should be taken as a CDM rather then taking shit players just because there is no-one else

There are too many bang average footballers in that squad

Re: Cresswell and Hart called up..
Ha! You beat me to it!

Lock mine mods, I forgot about hart

Still don't think Sturridge and wellbeck should be there. They'll be a load of withdrawals come the weekend too, I'd imagine
