Sullivan Speaks Finally
https://www.whufc.com/news/articles/2017/september/01-september/sullivan-delivers-transfer-window-verdict

West Ham United Joint-Chairman David Sullivan says manager Slaven Bilic is content with the transfer business the Hammers have done this summer.

Five new faces were added to the squad during pre-season, with over 600 Premier League appearances between four of them.

And whilst the Hammers' start to the season has been a frustrating one, Sullivan says the Board have worked closely with Bilic to secure his desired players, and both are confident that results will soon come.

"Overall Slaven is happy with the business we have done during the summer transfer window," he told whufc.com. "We received the manager's wish-list before the window opened and we have managed to get the top four players on it.

"It is no secret that we made a club record bid for Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho but unfortunately that offer was rejected a couple of weeks ago.

"Late last night Sporting Lisbon made contact to accept the original offer, but unfortunately it was just too late in the day, and we simply did not have enough time to put the player through a medical.

"We were not prepared, as a club, to buy a player for that amount of money without him having gone through adequate medical checks.

"Grzegorz Krychowiak and Renato Sanches were both offered to the manager before their switches elsewhere, but he told us that he is happy with the squad he has.

"As a Board we are behind Slaven, and he believes he has the tools to turn around our form and rectify our disappointing start to the season."

Utter shite

I thought that net spend was only for Birmingham? This is the post from the bloke, who met a bloke in a bar, who does a bit of banking for the owners?

Re: Sullivan Speaks Finally
Well the club is their asset. Of course they made a profit on buying and selling Birmingham, and almost certainly would if they sold West Ham. As for taking money out of the club, there's almost no evidence of that. It would likely be commercial suicide if that was their policy, ie it would ultimately cost them more than they'd be taking.

On that Reddit thing that was posted on here earlier today I saw that the combined net spend for Gold & Sullivan since they owned Birmingham & West Ham was just £4 million.

That there business model was to take out of the clubs rather than out in.

We must had loads of money in the kitty to spend at January, no ?

Maybe have a wall of shame with a list of all the shit and lies that’s been dished out.

From selling our home to premium telephone lines owed by DS to piss take transfer targets.

The list will be long and one that can be chucked their way every time they mouth off. Cunts.

Re: Sullivan Speaks Finally
Small time mentality between fans and owners I am afraid. Most feel better now we have won a game whilst obviously ignoring the glaring problems in front of them meaning we will still struggle this season.

Unfortunatelyfor most fans and ST holders they are so used to shit owners, being uncompetitive, not being taken to the 'next level' and being lied to year after year a win is like winning the cup to them.

Little do they know, well, they know but have their C&B specs on, this will continue year after year whilst the club sap the money from them.

Was thinking the same, I hope not.

Need to keep them on the front burner and never let them off the hook.

At every opportunity we need to remind them what they are, hound them out.
