It's not just this season. It's that he's been generally poor since having gone there, despite being made captain. OM are 7th in fact, but they've been a shambles on the pitch and off. And I actually watch a fair amount of this shit.

One season wonder?

I still remember the robana assist against Watford and the solo goal against Boro where all of our other players were playing as they are now. The Boro goal in particular was something very special.

Granted his first season with us was outstanding:

But he was easily our best player in the second season before he wanted to jump ship.

360 - didn't Chelsea have to sack a cokehead?

Adrien Mutu.. yeah.

But I think that had more to do with him and Jose falling out than him having a ridiculous coke habit. They absolutely ruined that guy. Never seen anything like it!

But if they were to strip out all the players who have taken coke whilst playing for a prem team I doubt they'd be able to field an 11...

Re: Dick head Payet
Why is he getting pelters? He's assisted or scored in probably 33% of their goals since he's been there, and Therr currently in the top 6. Has not played in the last two matches due to injury.

Maybe right after the Euros, but obviously we had no intention of selling him then and I don't think the OM move was on the cards so it's hard to count his value at a point in time when he wasn't for sale.

Likewise after January, his value was only going to go down given his poor performances, so I don't think we would have got more for him at the end of the season at all.

Maybe he would have been worth more on an open market, but he wasn't on an open market. Given the unique circumstances I think we got the most for him we could have realistically got.

Re: Dick head Payet
Scorchio - apart from 6 months before when he was worth £50m straight after the Euro's?

Or 6 months later when he would be worth £50m after the new TV deal kicked in?

In fact, I'd go s far as to say that £25M was probably the least he was worth at any point between the day he made his debut against Arsenal and today.

One season wonder.

Luckily for us we got that one season and made a decent profit. His value will never be as high as when we sold him.

Re: Dick head Payet
to be fair, clubs like ours (i.e. newcastle etc..)
will always get players like Payet, Ravel, Ben Arfa etc..

Top clubs dont have to put up with the shit and can afford to buy top class pro's with profeissional attitudes.
We on the other hand have to wing it a bit and get these type of players from time to time.

The only other way is to grow your own (Kane etc.) and we havent developed anything great for at least a decade or so. Mainly because we have been so badly run what great youngster wants to be here?

Catch 22's really. I think that's why last season was so important for us. If we managed to stay in the top 6/7 clubs I think we could have broken the cycle somewhat. now I just dont know..

So, if I understand correctly, he acts like the worst sort of cunt, fucks the club about and helps to ruin a whole season, goes elsewhere and is fucking rubbish.

Yet some on here would have him back ?

FOMB.

Fuck his wife, probably.

He's also announced he'll retire from international football after the next WC.

*sniggers*

If he came out and apologised and said that he had acted like a dickhead I'd have him back no question.
Might also help if he offered to pay that £1m 'loyalty bonus ' back to an approved charity.

The Sven Roeder Benevolent Fund maybe
