Re-View from the Opposition - Huddersfield
I'd like to thank Gary for answering both lots of questions and wish Huddersfield the best of luck for the season, apart from when we play them at theirs....

Did you manage to have a read of the responses and are there any comments that you’d like to make?

It is true I missed the ‘Mums tits’ gag. This was due to me not reading the question properly and I’d not heard a Mum’s tit joke since I was 16 so it caught me by surprise.

Was you breast or bottle fed as a child?

Your Mum breastfed me (she still does). Other than the fact her milk tastes like anti-depressants, I can’t grumble.

What was your view of the game last night as well as both teams?

You dominated pretty much from start to finish although I think we defended fairly well considering. You had the Chicarito chance and the one that Carroll flashed past the goal but other than that you were fairly quite despite putting in 800 crosses. We literally didn’t create anything until you went 2 nil up.

Surprisingly, we were extremely flat and the worst I’ve seen us for some time. I’m sensible enough to agree that this is probably down to both of us and the way you started the game set the tone. If we’d have nicked the game (which I thought we might after 65 minutes when your crowd were getting restless) it would be have been criminal but I’m still a little pissed off about your Paul Parker deflected shot that opened the scoring.

Difficult to judge you, as we didn’t really make a fist of it. You obviously played well and keeping Carroll fit is crucial for you guys.

2 nil a fair result on reflection.

In your opinion who were the outstanding players for both sides?

For us is fairly easy as I think only Schindler had a good game. The rest were way off. You can’t have that many players off their game and expect anything.

Carroll will get the plaudits and he played well in the first half but Antonio for me was the difference. I thought we got to grips with Carroll and much of his good work was done well away from goal. We couldn’t handle Antonio.

After last night what player would you like to have from us in January?

Antonio is the only player I’d probably take to play in our formation.

Can we have Schindler please?

Yes, for £30 million and I am genuinely not kidding. I expect him to make the Germany squad soon and he wouldn’t look out of place at any of the “big 4”.

What did you make of your managers comments after the game? I felt he was brutally harsh with you lot tbh.

Rightly so. We pride ourselves on the way we set up and our bravery in possession, players always wanting the ball. We didn’t show any of that.

Now a bit of reality has settled in and you realise that you aren’t going to do a Leicester, what are your expectations for the season?

We were never going to do a Leicester. Slightly disappointed about last night, more the performance than the result, but we go again and Wagner will sort the issues. I fully expect a better performance on Saturday against Leicester.

For what it is worth I still think we’ll finish above you and upper mid table would still be a very good season for us.

Good luck for the season though.

Good lad but he's bonkers if he thinks their cb is worth 30m.

Maybe us and some of the hudds guys could set up an official fan friendship like they do in Germany? I feel that would a a really nice thing to do, I have so much admiration for them and for gary

This guy did well from star to finish and should be commended for his honesty and humour, before and after the game.

I hope all are as accommodating for madeasy since they make for a fun read.

Don't know why but the phrase “we go again” really annoys me. Probably because it reeks of players on twitter being told to say it by their PR’s. I'm sure it's a new thing the last couple of seasons.

The only concern I'd have for them is that they don't look like scoring many goals and defending for a whole season can get a bit tiring.
I'd be prepared to write it off as a bad day at the office for them as they have looked better in other games.
I have to say they got behind their team well and seemed to stay til the end when they were losing. Unlike the Spurs cunts who had a much shorter distance to get home.

I like these follow ups, madeeasy. Good job. Not many oppo fans have the stomach to do this when they've lost, so fair play to the bloke for being a sport. Good answers too.

The Hudderserfield fans I bumped into around the ground seemed a decent lot, having a nice time without any wankiness. They also made decent noise in the ground, and only went quiet for a while after the two quick golas, then they carried on amking a reasonable racket once the shock had worn off and they'd accepted defeat.

Fair play to them. I hope they enjoy their season exepct when we go to their gaff.
