IRONMIKE's latest snippets from 26th and 28th Sept are that we have Manuel Pellegrini lined up should they pull the trigger on Bilic.

Apparently met with him in Knightsbridge on 26th, that he's interested on principle, and that he'd be the first offered the 'opportunity' should Slav become yesterday's man.

He certainly favoured pass and move football...whether he could harnass the likes of Antonio and Arnautovic would have to be seen...they're not exactly David Silva, Yaya Toure, or the like in their pomp.

No question he'd be a step up in managerial calibre and always came across as a sound bloke!

Fans - Daves we want this manager now... Ancelotti for West Ham

Dave Sullivan - You what? Who the fuck is this Anne Cherlotti? Why the fuck do we want a female manager?

Re: Carlo Ancelotti
No way would they pay his salary - he is second highest paid manager after Pep so chances of getting a manager paid more than Jose are slim! our owners are reluctant to spend money to pay off their manager and will wait for him to leave.

It might be fantasy talk ...

Yup it is

Re: Carlo Ancelotti
It might be fantasy talk but how much were they paying that fat northern cunt ? 3 million pa ? Maybe at some point they might realise that the cheap option won't cut it.

The other factor not to be ruled out is their sheer vanity. The would love to be associated with someone like Ancelotti. Also, if their intention is to sell up at some point then they'll have to raise the profile of the club at a given moment. All about timing I suppose but I don't know the details of the stadium deal and when they can exit to their greatest benefit.

Would cost a fortune = we are too cheap

I didnt think they came from the board but from "a West Ham source".

Well in the boards defence they are spot on

Re: Carlo Ancelotti
West Ham have already ruled out a move for sacked Carlo Ancelotti.

We were told this afternoon: “That’s fantasy talk because he hasn’t managed anything other than a top club for years. It’s unlikely that he would want to now and he would cost a fortune anyway.”

New board please

Dancer, I know your life seems to revolve around my previous posts at the moment, and yes, for a club in our situation and who we can attract, a young hungry manager with a point to prove is our best best.

However, if there was a remote chance of appointing one of the most successful managers in history (there isn't, but IF) I think it'd be safe to say we could veer off track and take our chances on him.

That what you was after?

Re: Carlo Ancelotti
What ED said.... two massive obstacles in this....

1. The money for him... the Dildo's will not even get near what he would want

2. Err... why the fuck would he want to manage us after a CV with the Italian national side, Juve, PSG, Milan, Bayern... I mean come on people???

Re: Carlo Ancelotti
Was just trying to establish if there were exceptions to the type of manager you want next. Cheers for the confirmation.

Re: Carlo Ancelotti
Dancer, I do, because I don't think there's a chance of us coming close to appointing a manager of Ancelotti's standing. Not that hard to work out with a little bit of thought, son.

Re: Carlo Ancelotti
Eerie - I thought you wanted a young, progressive type of manager, or are there exceptions?

Re: Carlo Ancelotti
Be realistic chaps because our owners won't fund Bilic and his aspirations let alone those of a known high maintenance manager like Ancelloti.

Re: Carlo Ancelotti
West Ham could be keen on Ancelotti as they eye potential replacements for Slaven Bilic. Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez is also on the club's list of potential candidates. (Daily Mail)

They must have been reading WHO. 58 he looks about 78. Not sure managing us would be good for his health either.

weirdest thing was that Jan Aage Fjortoft was the person breaking the news on twitter.

Hold up a minute.

Taking away the fact there is ZERO chance of this ever happening, are there actually West Ham fans who are debating whether he would be a good appointment if by some mental chance he was interested?

Hahaha

Did very well with an aging Chelsea and since we have the oldest squad in the PL

Re: Carlo Ancelotti
Bayern is as politically charged a football club as you will find anywhere. The executive full of former players with agendas. Couple that with a healthy dose of Teutonic arrogance and a changing of the European football order it is no shock that he is off, In fact it was stated by informed German reporters before the season started.

CA being his own man, has to his credit, ploughed his route on team selection, contrary to implied instruction, pissing off certain players and the board alike. Opportunity to bin him has arrived.

Ultimately it is all about fit, and he and Bayern don't. He does fit Arsenal, so stand by.
