if you're a football fan violent disorder will get you put down for 18 months or so
Its absolute bollocks- just look at his video and it is without doubt more violent disorder or even ABH verus affray..

I don’t think we should rush into these things Should be temporarily suspended and the matter considered again at the next AGM of the ECB. Some time later in 2018. Can then set up a working committee to discuss which course of action can be considered in 2019.

He's already been suspoended for 6 months or an entire five match test series.
Unless he was charged with raping and murdering five year olds, the ECB's part in this is done.

Charges pending = bad
Charged = ok

Now he's been charged the ECB have decided he can play in the threeway T20 comp in NZ next month
The ECB have played their usual clueless incompetent dickheads role to perfection here.
Not available for the Ashes and ODI's because the case is pending.
Available for some T20 bollocks because he's been charged?
Out of all the different sports governing bodies in the world the ECB have to be the biggest laughing stock.

Fair play to Stokes, he had it with them and won.
Men should be able to have a tear up, clump or be clumped, wile their mouths and get on with life.
It’s all absolute bollocks.
Un charge them all, save the tax payer money and they can all get on with their lives.

Yeah no jail for that. can we play the Ashes again and have him back.
I know someone charged of ABH and he didn't do time either.
GBH not that's a different matter. Imho that looked more like GBH than the others; he's got off lightly.

Part 1 of my prediction has come true:
"Chigwell 7:45 Wed Nov 29 Re: Police pass the Ben Stokes file to CPS Passing the file to the CPS does not necessarily mean he will be charged. That's what happens to all cases, except for some minor offences which the police have authority to charge themselves.
Having said that and seen the video, I have said all along that I expect Stokes to be charged. If it's affray (which I expect) or some other public order offence, that's because the victim has refused to give evidence, and/or is not a credible enough witness for the prosecution to rely on to support an assault charge.
If the charge is affray, I expect Stokes to opt for Crown Court trial and to be acquitted by the jury. The defence will rubbish the alleged victim, and juries don't like convicting national heroes."
Now for Part 2: this will be a fun trial because it looks like the men Stokes was aggressive towards have also been charged! The case against Stokes will be that he went beyond legitimate defence of himself or another, relying solely on the video evidence. I totally expect him to be acquitted.

Now everyone is in the room any word from the police as to whether they can get round to solving this fiendishly difficult case?

The 'victim ' is a former soldier. His mummy was crying about how he needed dental work and his face repaired whilst telling everyone what a nice chap he is. His mate with the bottle is a 'security guard'
