WHO Poll
Q: 2018/19 Wolves (H)
a. At last we have a win now let's make it two, Win
b. A win against 10 men and two leagues below us is fine, but this will be much harder I'll take a point, Draw
c. Who are we kidding, a win against Wimbledon and all is rosy, forget it we're getting our arses kicked in this one, Lose
d. It's at times like these when you really do miss Love Island
e. I was all over this game until I found out it's not on the box, the broadcasting companies really don't care about us hard core fans do they, I might pop off to Thorpe Park for the day instead, obviously in my WHU shirt

Pubs with strippers
Do they still exist?

I don't mean "lap dancing clubs", I mean 50p in a pint pot dodgy looking fat bints twisting out of cheap underwear to Tina Turner.

Apart from the usual Shoreditch pubs, must admit I was shocked to discover c20 years ago that my dad used to meet his brother (both in their 70s at the time) weekly in the California, North Woolwich - only to discover that they had "shows " on at the time ! Pub closed now.

There was the Queen Anne in Vauxhall. Shut down when the (mental) landlady was murdered on holiday.

There used to be on in Camberwell were some old bird would watch the tarts strip. Her comments were better fun than watching the saggy cunts.

Who was it that claimed on here that there's a pub in Stratford with a knocking shop upstairs and you can get a want for a tenner?

Re: Pubs with strippers
last time I visited one on match day - the Old Ax

All the girls I spoke to told me they were Brazilian, students trying to pay off their student loans in their best Eastern European accents

decent fanny mind

although I was very very pissed

and may have thrown up at Aldgate East St

The Ten Bells in Shoreditch was also one but has gone the same way these days. They use to have to cut the music and send the girl scampering when the Jack the Ripper tour stopped by.

We have app' got three down Southend Seafront... a 4th one tried to get a licence but Southend council said that there was enough skanky Eastern Europeans getting their titties out for now.... last time went in the Forresters was about 20 odd years ago... boy was it grim.. Cellulite City we used to call it... made Browns look like the Playboy Mansion

Remember in the early 80s going in a large pub on a corner on the Hackney Road, can't remember the name but they used to put on lunchtime strippers. Also remember going drinking in the evening there when many of the pub/bars had topless waitresses. Going back a few years at a time when local kids would "look after your motor" for a small contribution.

There was one near Farringdon. I saw Lampard jr in there once.

Used to be an annual pilgrimage for our work mob to Browns in Shoreditch after we played in the Civil Services 6 a side over at Chiswick… always a great time in there and got to know the Gooner owner quite well… one year we won the tournament… had to traipse through London with the trophy ina wooden box that was insured for £50k !! Ended up at Browns and they had an absolute little blonde sort… best way to describe her was a Melinda Messenger lookalike… absolutely blown away by her… must of stuck about £20-00 in £1-00 coins in her pot and then treated myself to a private lap dance.. absolutely smitten in my raging drunken state…. Had a decent chat with her afterwards before getting on the train and said I’d be back next week… what a sap!! Best thing though was getting in at 2am and then waking my missus up… apparently I told her she did not know how lucky she was as I was going to run off with a stripper…. I knew nothing of this conversation in the morning !!

Who remembers the water pistols in Metropolis before they got banned.

Genius idea they were because obviously no punter ever wanted to try and squirt water in the eye of a stripper whilst they were mid routine!!!

There's a Bar Oops off Leman St I went to for a stag night a couple of years ago. Don't know if it's still there.

The Norfolk Village was demolished to make way for the rail bridge when the overground line was built.

Somehow the Rainbow Sports Bar has stayed open. It's a shit hole and the owner is a piece of scum.

Also, on any given night, there are numerous private parties around the place run by strippers.

In Shoreditch, there's Browns and the Olde Axe. The Horns is nearby, I think it would be in Hoxton, and is owned by Denise, the owner of Browns. Her idiot brother Wayne owns the Griffin in Clerkenwell.
The area has become very trendy now, so it's full of young drunks late at night.
I used to visit the White Horse until it shut last year when't their rent was quadrupled.

There used to be one in Hayes called the Victoria, but the bar staff were caught selling cocaine and it was shut. There is still the Woolpack not far from there.
There was also the Robert Peel in Norbiton which was full when AFC Wimbledon were at home, but that was demolished.
Around Aldgate, there's the Nag's Head, and one in Leman St.
I believe there's 2 in Southend.

Remember ending up in Browns with some of my old mans mates as a 17 year old on the way home from an away game back in the late 90s...was quite a memorable day/evening!

Re: Pubs with strippers
In the late 70s the Lord Rodney's Head in Whitechapel had a fine selection of spotty arsed slappers, mostly Scottish if my memory serves me.it was well known at the time that a pound got you a hand shandy in the karsi. A pint of Double Diamond and a wank. What a way to spend a lunchtime.
