Desperate Times, Desperate Measures - West Ham Defence ... Improves according to OS

Hmmm.. a selective and teeny weeny sample... from the last 60 games.

You gotta laugh. !!

Maybe in 10 games of clean sheets this would make sense ?

The team keeps a reasonable amount of clean sheets. 3 in 7 isn't bad. 10 in the league last season. What was the record with BFS? 14?The problem is, once the defence is breached, we don't seem to be able to keep it to one, or even two goals. We have conceded at least 3 goals in every league game this year, when we haven't kept a clean sheet.

What seems obvious to me is when we have played a team with a good attack we have conceded. ManU and Spurs as examples. Time to brag about our defence and defending is when we shut out top teams.

Our defence is excellent. One of the best we have had in many years.

The problem is that we lose the midfield. No defence can sustain 90 minutes of siege without conceding.

And we lose the midfield because Bilic picks the wrong players and then plays them out of position.

A decent manager would organise this squad into a very effective unit. We have the players to finish top six but a manager who places us bottom six.
