Slightly astonished to see the USA make a mess of it and end up NOWHERE.
Silly cunts
Mexico, Costa Rica & Panama off to the World Cup and Honduras into the playoff v Australia

Also good to see that the Little Pea didn't appear at all for Mexico in their game in Honduras so hopefully fit for Burnley.

After my monster 22 pounds acca win last night, I reinvested it all on 4 people to score first in the south American qualifiers.

Every single one of them scored second!!

Argies pull it out of the fire and I see that the USA fucked it up against Trinidad.

Congratulations to tiny Iceland 334 000 population they truly are a one off Country .

One Turkish commentator said this after Turkey were beaten 0-3 by them, " Turkey have a few players we may consider as 8 out of ten players what Iceland have is this, every one of their players is a solid 6 and they play with a belief and pace that hides the lack of ability and do so consistently.

Portugal v Switzerland on Sky

Winner goes to the World Cup (draw is enough for Switz) & loser in the playoffs
Fonte playing for Portugal along with William Carvalho

3-2 on ag ag after extra time against 10 man Syria with 2 goals from 58yo Tim Cahill

Making EXCRUCIATING work of what should have been a comfortable qualification behind Japan.
One more playoff now ... against probably Honduras or Panama now that it looks like USA will qualify automatically

Fair play to that old Bastard Cahill, I think the winner was his 50th international goal in his 103rd game.

As half a Welshman I'm a bit sad.As half a Celt I'm still happy.

I said Celt.

The dirty Irish? You obviously didn't watch the game In Dublin and the tackles from the Welsh players. I can understand some Welsh supporters being bitter being beaten by probably the worst Irish side in 30 years. Coleman was class after the match and should stay for another campaign but I'm sure he will have other offers. Ireland will struggle in the play offs but they have that never say die attitude

Re: Tonight’s internationals.
The fella who scored Syria's goal was in such a rich vein of goalscoring form (scored in 8 of his last 10 games) that I almost lobbed a fiver on him at 7/1 for first goal.

Done Cahill instead who scored second the Millwall slag!

Syria just went 1-0 up (2-1 agg).

I'd like them to qualify just for the political discomfort. Hope they play and beat the USA.
