Remember his touch of honestly at St James when Konchesky got sent off and he tried pleading with Dermot Gallagher not to send him off.

My non-West Ham hero as a kid.

Enjoyed that thanks, surprisingly candid.

Couldn't quite bring himself to thank West Ham for the Blackburn title though could he?

Re: True Geordie - Alan shearer podcast
I like him and the work he's done over the years.

Gone from having a moan about dodgy Newcastle games on his iphone in his front room, to hosting his own betting show, podcasting with well known and respected sports figures as well such as Chris Eubank and Worlds Strongest Man, Eddie Hall.

Not everyone's cup of tea, but seems a thoroughly decent fella.
