Has Joe Hart got lead in his boots?
Not very agile is he?

Seems miles away from the keeper who leaped across the goal to save Payet's rocket free kick that was going into the top corner a few seasons back.

Pointless signing.

Ranks behind Ludo, Parkes, Green, Shaka and even Adrian.

You wouldn't be a very good goalkeeper with that load of shit in front of you.

Exactly. Another Sullivan vanity deal.

And while he interferes in the football side , we will never get a decent manager to take over.

Sullivan and Gold are ultimately responsible for creating this situation

Phil Parks a big tall heavy lump of a bloke.
could always get down to save with his HANDS

God knows why today keepers try 50% of the time try to stop shots with their feet and our two do it 100% of the time.

Plus Hart can't even catch a simple ball coming gentle towards him.

What Alfs said. Add the fact we have no longer term keeper development and have simultaneously pissed off a perfectly decent Spanish Int'l (and , it seems, otherwise loyal Hammer).

Fucking BERKS.

Cannot get down on his left...

Saw this at City...and for England...

Byw...whats that black band on his right arm...???

Maybe he needs one on his leftarm...😃😃

Re: Has Joe Hart got lead in his boots?
Waste of massive wages. All the Daves could see were shirt sales and the prestige of having England's number one between the sticks.

Re: Has Joe Hart got lead in his boots?
I think it's harsh to criticise Hart behind the shocking defence and midfield we have right now. To be fair he has probably saved more than he has conceded and if it hadn't been for some of his saves the results would have been a lot worse. Having said that I always like Adrian and yes there were other areas that should have been more of a priority.

Re: Has Joe Hart got lead in his boots?
Sat in the pub with lots of neutrals watching the game, everybody else thinks Joe Hart is terrible! I’ve said all season that he’s conceeded alot of goals but he’s had no chance with 90% of them

Seems like the neutral england fan has given up on Hart based purely onthe amount we have let in, ignoring the fact that Butland has let in about 20 goals in his last 7 games, but that doesnt suit peoples agenda

Should of gone for two centre backs instead of Arnaoutovic and Hart.

I thought buying him wasn't addressing a priority area, and still do.

But it's harsh to blame him for that second goal.

Depends on your perspective. At least he hasn’t outright cost us any games. Presuming that you are not pursuing the thought that Hart cost us tonight’s game which would of course be a ridiculous notion.

When you're hopelessly exposed by your defence, it is hard enough making any kind of save, let alone making sure you parry it into a 'safe' area.

People need to get off Hart's back. Our defence (and that includes the midfield) is SHITE.

I’ve never rated Hart for the last ten years, signing him has not changed my opinion.

I suspect it was because of all the shit games he had as well.

Hart added value at £175,000 per week?

Randolp had plenty of great games but got more stick than Hart for some reason

Re: Has Joe Hart got lead in his boots?
Don't want to sound too harsh, but I thought Hart had a poor game. No point making good saves if you still push the ball out in front of the goal, and beaten across to the left again. Can't get away with that at this level.

Re: Has Joe Hart got lead in his boots?
Ichws

I agree. I also think he would have kept out the first two against Brighton. So far I see nothing in Hart I think he's made any sort of improvement to the team at all. He's probably only made two good saves so far (and by that I mean saves you wouldn't expect any keeper to normally make)

Hart is also so slow off his line and, as shown on Saturday, very quick to point the finger - yet I don't recall anyone saying after Brighton 'we were on top for the last 20 minutes of the first half and then our goalie was really unprofessional by not keeping out a shot right down the middle of the goal'

I think Adrian just loves playing for us whilst hart acts like he's billy big bollocks.

Re: Has Joe Hart got lead in his boots?
"the overiding feeling on WHO was for Randolph to come in."

Goes to show how stupid people on here are then. Adrian may well have been going through a bad run of form, but to replace him with a keeper who at best was Championship standard was madness. But then again, Randolph was only signed at the time because he was a cheap option. He made far more errors during his spell between the sticks (which was far too long) than Adrian ever did.

If you look at this more from the perspective of Randolph out, Hart in, then it's a massive improvement.

Re: Has Joe Hart got lead in his boots?
Let’s not forget the fuck ups of Adrian last season shall we? Stoke Watford at home being prime examples which cost us points. That was why he was dropped and if memory serves me right the overiding feeling on WHO was for Randolph to come in.

I think Adrian is a good solid goalkeeper who will always give you 100% but to say he is a better keeper than Hart as some are suggesting, I can’t fathom.

Hart has played at the very top level for the majority of his career and is still a top class keeper.

Re: Has Joe Hart got lead in his boots?
I have to say that there are some good comments on here. For me I'd say that Adrian is a better shot stopper and definitely the more agile of the two. Both are not great distributors of the ball but Hart is worse imo. I see why he wouldn't suit Guardiola.

I think we all suspected that there was some kind of disagreement between Bilic and Adrian last season and I was happy that we were signing an improvement but I'm doubtful that Hart is actually the better answer.

We will not be offering him the kind of deal he's currently on at City that's for sure. So why do we play a worse keeper is my question? Is the rift between Bilic and Adrian so great?
