West Ham Independent Supporters Association / WHUISA
The West Ham Independent Supporters Association need more members. We have a load of fans happy to moan but wont get organized. It's pathetic that Spurs have over 20,000, Chelsea and Arsenal similar and we've got a 20th of that in ours.

£3 to join http://www.whuisa.org/join-whuisa/

WHUISA are not going to get rid of the board but can bring them to account when they take the proverbial out of the fans by getting the message out there. The more fans we have in WHUISA the more credibility and strength we have.

The board are very adverse to any kind of negative publicity. The Times article on Friday re the Stadium was a start, which Sullivan and his thin skin couldn't stand hence him being on SKY before Fridays game claiming 95% of fans loved the stadium.

WHUISA is recognized by football governing bodies such as the PL, FA and the likes of the Football Supporters Federation and MetPol, The club don't like this because it means they can't control who they select to speak as "fans" We get an invite to meetings in our own right.

We are democratic, elected by our members, any member can attend our committee meetings and all minutes and coms with the club go on the website and facebook page. Although the latter is a closed group anyone can join and will be approved, not sure why it is closed TBH.

Before the usual suspects start having a pop about anoraks or some other abuse, most of the people on the committee are long term STH and proper West Ham. I am on it, I'm a home and away STH I've been on this site for years. Many on here know me.

We know the website is crap and out of date and it is being revamped.

I remember back in the day at The Goldstone taking the right royal piss out of the benders and their Nobo shirts, something tells me that Chesty's firm would not like my sort

Has a whiff of that WHUST caper and then the lickspittle SAB about it

Good luck with it and fair play for trying but I am inclined to feel more disenfranchised by the day

Ha. No, I just hate Corbyn, and that could’ve been written by one of his beret-wearing henchpersons.

Re: West Ham Independent Supporters Association / WHUISA
You have taken one issue, which because of the team we played on Friday is one of the first things you see but it one issue out of many we have dealt with.

The latest news was the Times article on the twitter account and facebook, the website needs updating
so thanks for letting us know.

Re the website, we've basically got one guy who updates it and he is currently busy. When the new website is up and running we'll have others helping out so it will be up to date.

As a result we are also in the process of updating the website content including things like the constitution and equality statements which every club and association has now days and which we have just reworded. It was always on the website and having a clear policy is required before we are recognised by the bodies I outlined in earlier posts.

I don't even know who or what Momentum is TBH but I believe we should all be treated with the same level of respect. We are all West Ham fans, let's not lose sight of that.

If you join us I don't think you will be disappointed but if you don't like what we are doing then tell us, we are fan driven.

Thanks

Re: West Ham Independent Supporters Association / WHUISA
I had a look. Seriously looked with a view to joining up. Then saw this on the front page. It's not that I'm against the sentiment, but I don't want to be part of a West Ham group that feels the need to say it.

If you want to put pressure on the board to do things for the good of the club, I reckon you have a chance of getting decent numbers signing up. If you want to turn it into the West Ham Supporters wing of Momentum, I'm out.

."WHUISA – A welcome to all Brighton fans’

WHUISA are proud of the diverse nature of our team, our supporters and our wider community and we want everyone to feel respected and welcomed when they visit our club.
WHUISA believes that any form of discriminatory behaviour is harmful and counter-productive. Regardless of disability, ethnic origin, gender, gender identity, race or sexual orientation, we will be extending this respect and welcome to Brighton & Hove Albion supporters and staff this Friday on their first visit to the London Stadium."

Re: West Ham Independent Supporters Association / WHUISA
Well this is it, if we don't try we know nothing will change that's for sure.

Bar something finding a few hundred million down the back of the sofa we can't get rid of the board but what we can do and have done is engage with the club in areas we have a chance of succeeding in.

As I've said in previous posts, we have had success from the club. Even if we can just try and make it a bit better for fans it is better than nothing.

Chester good luck with this and Ged was involved with the last Supporters Trust to me it was a place where people talked and talked and talked, which is why the Brown Out campaign went their own way

I'd only be interested if they were more radical but understand why they can't or won't take that line, I'll keep an eye with an open mind and good luck with it

Pervy, I understand what you are saying and it is something we are aware of.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of the people who would think that was unfair, it's 3 quid at the end of the day. But some may do. Alas, as people have mentioned, the likelihood of getting us heard and the board doing anything about it is minimal. But I guess if you don't try...

Re: West Ham Independent Supporters Association / WHUISA
Thanks Lily, We've got a good bunch of people on the committee, not just me, and the original groundwork was set by others.

I don't know where the bubble machine stuff came from, wasn't me and maybe said in jest!

Seems odd that with all the Hammers fans in the media it took a Liverpool fan in Alyson Rudd to get a few things that needed saying out there,

WHUISA is not connected to SAB (Official WHU arse-kissers) and membership costs less than the price of a pie. Get onboard and get a voice.

Re: West Ham Independent Supporters Association / WHUISA
Well done for at least making an effort, Chester. I will join up if it's only three beans.

I will however express my doubts about how "more bubbles machines" can make it to any kind of priority list.

At the end of the day, if it is an orgainsiation of West Ham fans that is independant of the club, but has the ear of the owners, it has to be better than nothing, especially for me living abroad.
