15 Brits been shot over the past 5 years...

http://www.express.co.uk/travel/articles/564537/4-million-Brits-travel-US-in-2014-record-breaking-tourism-year-Ireland-overseas-visitors

4,000,000 Brits visit the US every year....

So basically that's 3 Brits out of 4 Million that get shot every year.... anyone fancy working that out as a percentage???

Re: US shooting...again
I do wish that everyone understood the relevance of statistical significance when quoting their personal experience as if it is meaningful.

To ever say anything along the lines of ‘well I’ve been there and nothing happened to me’ is not helpful. You are a sample of one, the smallest possible sample and the least useful in terms of statistical significance (ask a statistician).

Put it like this.

I have been a regular driver on the M25 for the last 30 odd years, and (touch wood) have never had an accident on it. Should this then be extrapolated to mean that it is the safest road in the world with an accident rate of 0%?

Conversely, if I had had an accident on it, then could we extrapolate this to believe that it is the most dangerous road in the world with 100% of users experiencing accidents?

Any statistic about the safety or otherwise of the M25 (or anything else) becomes more meaningful when you look at the experiences of a larger sample. The larger the sample, the more accurate it will be.

I was just thinking this morning this site could do with another thread to allow posters on here to demonstrate how clever they are by copying and pasting STATS and other people opinions, which will automatically make them experts on gun control in America.

Why not Eerie... if you are a lunatic that opens up on a country and western concert outside the Mirage than a loon can open up on a holiday crowd at a theme park...but granted yeah I have done the majority of that 10 months in the TOURISTY parts ... I mean seeing as I'm on me hols it makes sense... rather than living on a firing range in Texas like Badger did

pretty much a murder a day when I was out there
Police gunning down innocents
shooting range "incidents"
and that was just in my local area

but they need guns for their "protection"
