Latest book from David Moyes - "Dare to Fail"
About to be published by Norfolk and Chance.

This is a follow up to his previous tome "He who dares is a knob".

Sorry I'll get me coat but I am truly stunned by this appointment. I should not be. Its in keeping with everything the owners epitomise... "second rate", "short term", "chancers".

I'm underwhelmed, but I'm going to at least give him the chance to prove himself.

We've a much better squad than he had at Sunderland, so I'd like to think that with a bit more organisation, and a better gameplan from him, we can improve things at least enough to be comfortably mid table.

What I don;t want is comments like he made at Sunderland. I want him to immediately come in, exude some confidence, announce he'll lead us to safety and try and instill some of the same into our players.

To be honest, referencing your comedy book title, they do need to dare to fail. At the moment they are all chickening out of everything and that's what's costing us. They need to be bolder, shrug off the odd misplaced pass and carry on trying. Not all hide from the ball like they are at the moment.

The manager has decent raw materials. Let's hope he can mould them into something. At least his Everton and Man U teams were hard to beat.
