Name a sport that women play that is any way on a par (womens golf) with the mens game. Football. Nope just kick it high towards the goal and the keeper can't reach it. Cricket. Can't hit the boundary Golf. Womens tees Rugby. Do they play rugby Boxing. Handbags
All in all women's sport is a poor imitation of the real thing. I have written this whilst making sure my wife cannot see it. I'm not that fucking brave

Another thing I don't like in cricket, calling Oz v England the "Ashes", women's cricket has fuck all to do with the original reason why it was called the Ashes, they're just bandwagon jumping cunts
Having said that, what I saw of the Oz side, their one player was smashing the ball all over the shop

Someone mentioned the women’s cricket the other day where they scored about 10 runs in an hour or something and struggled to get it off the square. If the Men’s team did that they would be PILLORIED The whole thing seems to be conducted in a patronising style .... would a women’s team get the abuse the men’s football team did when they went out of the Euros in 2016?
There is a definite move by the bbc (and others?) to report women’s sport on the same level as men’s and deliberately try and confuse people into paying attention .... ie Chelsea injury blow or England name Ashes team
There is also a absolute reluctance to ever discuss the financial performance .... gate takings? Tv revenue? .... it’s always about crowd numbers (when they are large) with no mention that no one is paying to watch.

I don't mind a drop of birds football/cricket tbh. It is what it is, its a different sport to the mens game.

Good post. I annoyed when on the BBC site I see some headline like 'injury blow for England' etc and then when I look it is about the women's team who no-one actually cares about. The same is now happening with their cricket coverage. Masses of coverage about games which is totally unmerited.

It really pisses me off when the BBC constantly give us 'news' on women's (& American) football when sports we do well in and have massive viewing and spectating numbers, don't get a mention.
Even the crazy situation where Jonathan Rea, 3 consecutive times World Superbike Champ in 2015, 2016 & 2017 doesn't even get a mention or included in Sports personality of the year. Yet women's football gets constant promotion in spite of few if any other than family, are interested.
When I rule the world, the BBC will be sold on the stock market and have to raise money commercially instead of ripping off tax payers while taking the piss...

This is the one thing that Blatter had the right idea about.... skimpy shorts and tight tops... would improve viewing figures no end.

I think the problem with women's football is that it doesn't have huge support from women. You don't get groups of female friends meeting up and going to a football match like blokes do. Because generally women don't like football. Men are told to like women's football but don't because in comparison to men's it's rubbish. So sadly I think women's football has reached its pinnacle.

Simple really, don't watch it then.
Guessing a lot of women were bored of watching men pretending to be fouled or hurt and so watch this instead, as the women never cheat.
Not the greatest spectacle, but nor are west ham most weeks!!!
