North

I was not impressed with the way Brenters was treated, mailed him accordingly at the time
Bill came on here to invite representation, Brenters did so then copped a cunting for reporting back that which would hardly have remained secret
Look - good luck to the three lads, I really mean that, but that post from Kumb, the PR fella, that resonates exactly. I have followed this closely from inception and remain none the wiser of what it is all about beyond us all being pissed off about the obvious - except the obvious is not being stated
As I said, good luck though I fear that there will be a copping the hump moment when the various from 40 groups whine about anything and everything from tampon machines to burger relish

Not sure if this has been posted but when you read the 'grievances' listed, it doesn't feel like they are going to get much traction beyond the WHU fans already involved.

No mention of the shite state of the ground and the lies we were told about all that 'next level' bollocks as the reason for moving, but the stewards 'lack empathy', apparently.

Good post, some sensible stuff in that. I've seen a lot of people get shot down in flames for questioning what the money will be spent on ( which they are perfectly entitled to do ) rather than following blindly and just stumping up - i assumed that a chunk would be for professional support like this. It's all very well people putting in the hours and working hard and i take my hat off to them, but they should consider this if they haven't already.

I agree that the objective needs to be a lot more clear , the group needs a mission statement.

"The March is a vote of no confidence in the board, and regime change is the ultimate goal".

THIS 100%

Yup it comes across that way at the moment

Re: Real West Ham Fans - Updated with notes from Meeting on 10/2
Probably Gav.
Agree there is a lot of sense in Props C&P.

Like the idea of a vote of no confidence.
I had the same ideas and WHO suggestions about getting professionals involved and defining what the issues and objectives are so it's clear to all inc the owners and media.
Also had some ideas about how we could achieve them. Not saying my plan was THE blueprint but some it could have been used as I'm sure many would / have agreed with the above points.
As I said though we don't really know what is going on behind the scenes, only thing I would say is the message is still not clear to all and it looks like we are marching for various reasons not clearly stated, some of which can be easily addressed or dismissed by the board.

The latter part of that is encouraging to read.

I don't know and have never met Andy and I assume you have, but that makes me optimistic.

Re: Real West Ham Fans - Updated with notes from Meeting on 10/2
"We, on the other hand, are represented by 13 Brentford Rd........

Nobody is going to be following 'us'....."

B, I do not represent WHO. I offered to go to the meeting as WHO rep at the last minute as no one else on here Inc you put themselves forward.

I don't know who the group are using for legal, finance, PR etc. or if they are actually using any experts or qualified people at all in these areas.
I had a plan formed from suggestions from WHO posted and a few of my own and wife's ideas, didn't get the chance to air it at the meet as it was more about the march and better known reps from groups that have been battling the board for longer or Andy, Micky & Bill got to speak.
I did mention that we all needed to agree on the main issues and appoint a governing commitee from prominent groups but it seems the commitee was already formed and they have their own ideas on what they want to achieve and how they are going about it.(I think/hope) Only this g is it's still not clear.
I was then told I wouldn't be invited back as I put up the contents of the meeting too soon even though I wasn't told not to or that it was private, the impression I got was that I was there to report it back to WHO.

So I did my bit, was prepared to get more involved but I am an outsider. My plan is serious too and would have taken about 2 years and could have worked or put a lot of pressure on them to at least make things better.

Yes, totally. Most people who werent a fan would spend 2 minutes on the facebook group bfore concluding they were looking at an EDL page.

Yes, a lot of sense right there. Let's hope they are invited to help.

Re: Real West Ham Fans - Updated with notes from Meeting on 10/2
someone's talking sense...

http://www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=170186&start=2120#p5177343

PR business here, clients from SME through to household name corporates. We'd probably do the job for free if they asked. Approaching them ourselves is difficult however, because they already have a hierarchy in place and are quite possibly going to be resistant to being told what to do.

But here's what we'd be advising...

1. If we were working with them we'd insist on only talking to 2 people, 3 at most. Doing anything by committee just leads to too many ideas, and things get muddied. I believe that has already happened in this case.

2. Facebook page needs to be locked down to 'Admin Only Posting' until after the March, and a large number of existing posts need to be deleted. There's no nice way to say this; their page is chock full of horrible misogynistic venom, and frankly, stupidity. It's a PR disaster that plays straight into GSB hands.

3. Message to the press and the outside world needs distilling down to 1 core message and a few easily understood supporting reasons.

Personally I believe the core message that works best from a PR perspective:
"The March is a vote of no confidence in the board, and regime change is the ultimate goal".

The Group can retract from that harsh position in the future, perhaps subject to what the board comes back with, but for now it has the drama and finality that the press will love.

Reasons:

a. Catalogue of lies and broken promises - forget all that they've said, look at what they've actually done. The days of us believing their lies are over.

b. We have exactly the same debt level, but it is now owned by them not the banks, and we now pay a higher rate of interest to them than we would to a bank.

c. Club is no longer run as a football club with the goal of success on the pitch, or even with any consideration for the supporters at all. Today WHUFC is purely run as a business with the sole intention of increasing the wealth of the owners.

4. Finally, they need to consider the counter arguments that GSB will provide to the press, and be clear on their own position on those topics. For example, GSB always trot out the “We Saved the Club from Bankruptcy” line.

Truth is West Ham would never ever have gone bust. A London club, with a loyal fanbase, big home crowds even after relegation, a significant history. Not a chance we would have gone bust.

So their status as Saviours is just another in a very long line of hollow lies.

Summary in a nutshell... The message is clear and simple; Confidence completely lost, no more buying their lies, regime change wanted.

The other things related to memorial gardens and the badge are issues that have to be shelved for another day. For now the primary message has to be clear to everyone, from casual fans, paying supporters, RWHFAG members, supporters of other clubs looking in from the outside, and of course through to the gentlemen of the press.
