Yeah probably we'd tomwring my knickers out a bit - but can definitely see a situation where we end up doing a Leeds and paying part of some players wages after they leave just to get them out the door - arnie and Carroll spring to mind

Of course we won't ever go bankrupt - Sullivan would never allow that or he would get his loan interest payments

To call them a team is an insult to the word team.

Definitely one of the worst and it is more annoying and painful because we have some previously to them coming to us quite decent or at least pretty decent players.

We are many things but we will never be bankrupt.

Re: We have had some sh*t teams over the years but ....
In recent times, or compared to the last two delegations, we do now look worryingly shit - roeder team should ever have gone down and really neither should grants. Both times we missed a decent striker from the start of the season (either coz we didn't buy one or because he was injured) and paid the price as confidence dropped but on palate they were good teams

The more I look at our squad the more I see a bunch of busted flush has beens that have been injured for too long or too frequently to be reliable (Carroll, Reid, ginge, Antonio getting there now) still living off a decent season a few years back (that's you Cresswell and kouyate); actually aren't really very good (kouyate, ogbonna, ayew) or who just don't give a shit about the club and just want a pay check (arnie, hart)

The only players who I think don't look abysmal every week are Lanzini and zabaleta, the latter of whom has looked shit since a lazy austrian prick has played in front of himmandnoffered no protection and played so poorly that he doesn't even occupy the opposition left back

Forget the £20m war chest for January we need ten times that to get what we need right now - we need new players across the park because right now we are just the next villa/Sunderland, full of has beens and players bought at rip off prices who will bankrupt us trying to move them on when we go down

That team that went down in the early nineties was pretty dog-shit

I’ve seen much worse West Ham teams than these.

Only if you're aged 10. It's not even close if you're over 20.

No it’s not the worse team we have had but certainly the one with the worse attitude.

Yet we continue to play the same failing players, the same formations.

The club is rotten from top to bottom and I lay the blame firmly at Sullivan's door

Was it Curbishley that had the "baby bentley" brigade? This all seems very similar.

Hopefully they will sleep well tonight knowing that will be facing Moyes and Pearce in the morning to explain their actions (or lack of).

Re: We have had some sh*t teams over the years but ....
I could see that Kouyate was going to be shite right at the start of the season and he still gets in the team. Absolutely appalling lack of effort in every game (except Leicester). if you have a player like that you will lose in the Premier League because he will keep costing you goals. Add to that Hart and you have a perfect storm.

Read a post by Chim the other day and totally relate to it. I've been going for the past 45 years and seen some shit. But as others have said we had good laughs and the odd good moment. I don't like the home games any more and three is no fun in away days when you know the team is guaranteed to get a hiding. I've been away for most of this season so far and haven't really missed it. Whatever happens this season it is looking like it may be my last. Sad times

Re: We have had some sh*t teams over the years but ....
We've never had such an abject failure for all the talent at the club.

We have a squad that have as individuals earned vast amounts of experience at the top level with club and country, getting to a point where they as a collective are in the top 20 clubs regarding wagebill. Yet not a single player in this squad could truly say with honesty that they are proud of their performances, or them being near representative of what they are capable of. Not one.

Like a pub outfit on the verge of giving up on the game. Ironically, exactly the same as Moyes last club.

Agree with angry and Mike there. Not the worst team, certainly not on paper and we do show odd glimpses but their heads are down and they are sulky, spoiled little brats who earn far too much and could all comfortably give up work tomorrow without giving a toss.

This is not the worst team we have had in my time by a long shot but it is the worse I have felt about the club.

Re: We have had some sh*t teams over the years but ....
I agree with Defjam. I've never had a problem with not winning every week, so long as we turn over the odd Billy big bollocks team every now and then. It's always been about the day, the banter and the feeling.

I got to the stage last season where I couldn't go into the ground. The people around me were tutting when I came in a few mins after the game had kicked off 'cos I was having a beer with mates etc and the whole place stinks. Couldn't even moan about my seat as I had a really good view but the nouveau wankers around me ruined it, miles away from some of my other mates, opposite side of the stadium to where I used to be at the Boleyn, despite their promises.
